They can have influence on some people.
So can newspaper, tv, radio, church, clubs, friends, companies ...
So a biased social media platform can have an impact on opinions.
The important thing is how many are influenced. Looks to me that many here must be influenced by opinions there because of the often displayed outrage.

Q was just declared a terrorist organization by the FBI.
The news is saying that Twitter has banned conspiracy theorists who re-tweeted Q-Anon material.
Was that you?
PS I wonder what this recent move will do to the Q thread here.

They are but they only have the power people gave them. By even signing up for an account you are giving them more influence. But of course if they are indeed biased (which they likely are) it also won't do you any favors if they shut out your "side" completely.
So what do you do? Well, one thing you can't expect when someone who doesn't like you has the upper hand is a fair fight. So don't go in there expecting to be able to just blurt out whatever you want to say and think you're going to get away with it just because the other guys do. You have to be smarter than that. Crying foul when they treat you unfairly is not going to accomplish anything. You already know they want to shut you down so don't give them an excuse.
The FBI Said Conspiracy Theories Like QAnon And Pizzagate Are Domestic Terrorism Threats “Identity based, and fringe political conspiracy theories” are very likely to motivate some domestic terrorists to “commit criminal and sometimes violent activity,” the memo warns.
The account, which was created in September 2018, called itself a "Fierce Trump supporter" and said, "I'm not a bot." It reportedly pushed QAnon conspiracy theories about Democrats murdering children, tweeting last week a meme that targeted former President Clinton and ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Daily Beast reports.
