Because you are giving a bunch of people with conflict of interest more money and more control over you and expecting them to fix your problem they created in the first place and are benefitting from.

I'm not against universal hc but the Democrats plan is idiotic and completely arse backwards when it comes to. Implementation. They are either complete morons or insincere in addressing the issue.

True.

The problem is universal healthcare is more than just an American issue thorough.

Guess at some point our first world nations may be forced to come to the conclusion that universal health and aid somewhat transcend the imaginary lines we place on our maps.

Then again not much chance of that transpiring whilst we squabble amongst ourselves and refuse to even help the people who are already in both our supposedly first world countries.

Well, you know it's not that simple though. Insurance is the main reason healthcare is so expensive.

At any rate, insurance already kind of works like socialism. Except that it excludes people who can't pay the tax. When you have a problem that your insurance company pays for, essentially, other people are paying your medical bills. You have all agreed to share the costs but you are intentionally excluding people who can't afford it.

So of course as they always say, they're not going to let someone die on the sidewalk so anyone who has an emergency is going to incur the cost of treatment, whether they can pay for it or not.

I think doctors and hospitals should eat the cost of the uninsured or get out of the "healthcare" business. If you're going to charge someone tens of thousands of dollars to save their life, you're just another greedy POS leech posing as some kind of humanitarian hero.

It's a glorified protection racket.

Why do you think they charge so much? Because they eat the cost of healthcare of those who can't pay. I work in healthcare. We had 1 illegal there for 2 years with over $1 million in bills she would never pay. So the hospital recoups that $1 million loss by distributing it to those who actually pay.

I absolutely want no part in a government takeover of healthcare. Only the insurance aspect. It would require a government looking out for America and Americans, and want to MAGA. So good luck with that.

A few weeks ago a member was on talking about how we need universal healthcare because their family had spent $20k on healthcare over the past few years. I told them in the UK their family would spend $20k every year, so they would have spent $60k for healthcare in the past few years. I asked why they would be better off in that situation, they didn't answer me though.

Well, there are those that seem willing to pay into a universal healthcare system and those that seem rather ambivalent to contribute to such.

I hope that that clarifies my query, that being whos correct and whos not?

Because either way, at the end of the day, people on both sides are going to require medical assistance no matter there stance on the matter.

The problems is not right or left, the problem is the existence of the poor who require the assistance of others and their government where there continued existence is preferable.
