Some of his supporters didn't have a problem with this, not because what he said was actually perfectly acceptable, it wasn't but because they are part of the political circle-jerk, they have this opinion that he is the best and no matter wha they're not going to let anything change that even if that means defending him boasting about sexually assaulting women.

Actually, it seems Trump's detractors are the ones who are ignoring reality in that case. His statement was that if someone has money, some women will fawn all over them, and "let you grab them by the p***y." That's not sexual assault; it's consensual. It is also a statement of fact that some gold-diggers will go to such extremes in the hope of getting their hooks into a wealthy man. Duh.

The problem I had with that statement was that it sounded like a little "locker room talk" instigated by Billy Bush, assumed by Trump to be a private conversation, and yet it was available to CNN for use as political dirt. That one revelation caused me to immediately switch over to Fox; I absolutely refuse to watch CNN after that invasion of privacy. I am to the point that if I walk into a restaurant and CNN is on the TVs, I will request a booth away from any screens. I simply want nothing to do with anyone or any organization that stoops so low.

I'll also point out that toward the end of the same clip, Trump and Bush exit the bus and are approached by a very attractive woman. In that direct confrontation, Trump made no motions or comments that were in any way out of line. He grabbed nothing.

Why do I care if a wealthy businessman enjoys the attentions freely offered by women? Why do I care of he talks a little crude when in the company of another buy who is taking crudely? That's all this was, and it's high time the narrative is set straight.

This is an overly simplistic view of it which is the root of the misunderstanding. Trump = the anti-government. Or more succinctly Trump = the anti-establishment of the last 30 years. We're not defending the government, we're defending the one man who we've been able to install to dismantle it. It's him and a few supporting members against the massive amount of corruption and evil. We don't need him to be perfect, we need him to be strong to accomplish what we sent him to do. We lend him strength by lending our support with very few conditions.

You see, there is no downside to supporting trump if you're anti-establishment. If I support trump and he is unable to accomplish what I wanted him to, there's nothing I can do about it. But there is no one else out there that is capable of doing what he is attempting to do. You think Jeb! or Mittens would take on the establishment? Or even ted cruz for that matter?

Trump is our last chance. If he loses in 2020 the country is gone. I didn't realize how much damage obama had done to us, culturally, until trump came around. I figured we were in for 30 years of stagnation and decay, but over 30 years, those circumstances are adaptable. However, having seen what has developed in the left and the establishment in this country over the last three years, I know we were actually in for a much more rapid decline.

If trump gets 8 years, we may see liberty refreshed for a generation without bloodhsed amongst brothers. What they do with that will not be my concern, but as a father it is my duty to try to ensure that liberty is preserved for my children and as much as I can, theirs. That's why my support for trump is nearly unconditional. There is no other option out there. Show me the polite, well mannered trump that will stand up and fight for what trump is and I'll head on over to vote for him. I've looked, he doesn't exist that I'm aware of.

There are a plethora of leftist threads that as a majority get stars and flags just by bashing POTUS Trump, with no real content or just lies about "he is a racist" or just bashing with lies any of his policies.

It's ironic how the op makes up lies, which he has plenty of threads in which he spouts nothing but lies just to bash at Trump, or at the right, and there is also plenty of leftists whom star those threads.

This thread is just political baiting, plain and simple. The op doesn't accept any evidence that puts Trump in a good light, or puts his idols in a bad light, and for the op to post this trollish thread seems extremely ironic to me.

The point I am trying to make isn't to debate trumps pussy grabbing but rather its to highlight exactly what you're doing right now.

What Trump said was wrong, there isn't really much excuse to justify what he said he was boasting about using his fame to sexually assault women by grabbing their genitals "Because when you're famous, you don't need to ask, they just let you do it".

Now your support of Trump has actually got you now defending someone who has said this, that seems odd to me. This is what happens when you have the blinkers on, you're defending a man saying that he gropes women just because its convent for your politics.

There are threads that are not leftist, which also are derogatory of Trump. But this isn't just about a particular personage.

There is a trend online to accumulate more 'like's or 're-tweets' or 'stars', or whatever is the currency of popularity, by being the lowest and the most outrageous. It seems to make popular fare, but in the process, the reasoned, the moderate, the conservative (in a true sense, not as the alt-right sees the word) views and argument are nullified as the most boorish of the low-end get amplified through the echo-chamber of online inconsideration.

Are you willing to challenge the ravening online crowd of stupid, and to critically evaluate and speak to exactly what is being said, not rattle off some off-point comment that would just garner the the most lulz?

And that's the problem. Our institutions were not corrupt until recently. Furthermore, those institutions should exist, otherwise what fills the gap in anarchy is corporations in which you have no say in the government. And, I don't know about you, but I would rather not die young of a preventable illness just because we've removed the economy of scale from medical care, costing us all millions more over our lives, in the name of saving thousands more in taxes over those lives.

Anyways, if Trump wins (and that is an if), it will be by the lowest popular vote margin in history, as he currently doesn't even qualify to get onto the ballot in several states, with many more states following. When he has an even lower popular vote total next time (in both percent and total votes), should he win will you agree it's time to fix the Electoral College, as it's clearly not representing the will of the people but rather putting all of the power in the hands of just a few neighborhoods?

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I get where you are coming from, but I disagree on a few points. First, I doubt the man will ever see "prison," even if he is defeated in 2020. Any trial would take a decade or more and be a public spectacle. He will be long dead before anyone can convict him of anything. Meanwhile, our leaders are wasting the country's time chasing down everything the President does or says. They should be focused on the environment, the looming debt crisis, our collapsing healthcare system or the growing power vacuum created by tech companies almost no one understands well enough to regulate. Our liberal cohort in Congress is the single best advertisement for a Trump 2020 victory going and I'm amazed you can't see that.

Your second point is more political than you realize, I think. While I agree that Walmart is a disaster, it's really the only game in town for much of rural America and the people who live there have no power to change that. I also think you underestimate the LOL factor in most of these "alt-right" groups. The Proud Boys, for example, don't appear to be a serious organization by any stretch of the imagination. Their former leader makes viral videos of himself putting large objects in his own ass. Sooner or later he is buying a bag, as they say in the ER business.

As for our ability to compete in a global market as workers, I have been sounding the alarm here on ATS for years regarding the overwhelming number of college grads from China and India who benefit from a globalized workforce. While its fairly routine to mock university education here in favor of the trades, we have done nothing to address the elephant in the room: Chinese and Indian grads enter the market without significant college debt, an advantage that makes them employable at a far lower wage than most American grads.

There is just so much wrong with this I don't even know where to start. First, nothing is free. You're going to pay for your medical care through premiums to an insurance company or through taxes. Medical care is not a human right as you don't have a human right to someone else's time and skill. To believe that it is, is to believe that some people need to be made into slaves (we'll treat them well, promise!) based on their chosen profession.

Most people don't spend millions on medical care over their lives. So that's just flat out false that it costs us millions more.

No, because as you just pointed out, it will be due to state's trying to disenfranchise their own populations. One other note, removing the opposition's name on the ballot is a hallmark of tin-pot dictatorships worldwide. Look up that term and apply it to the democratic party. It fits better than a glove.
