Hitting the Right political buttons....

OK, I need to clear up a few things here. Firstly, I am speaking as an ATS member, in no official capacity. My statements are my own and not those of ATS. To clarify this point, I have even used "the box," something I reserve for posts like this.

ATS is not a right-leaning site. ATS is not a left-leaning site. ATS is neutral. I've been here for over 12 years, and lurked for many before that. The site is neutral politically... it wasn't even started over politics... it was started over conspiracies. It just so happens that the government seems to be at the heart of many of the conspiracies now-a-days.

Right now, at this point in time, it does appear that most active members are "right-leaning." So? You might as well complain that someone won any election in the damn world because the members of that country were biased. Public opinion changes, and that's not going to stop whether you want it to or not. Sometimes I am on the losing side of public opinion; sometimes I am on the winning side. But at least I have the intellectual honesty to not accuse everyone around me of some political bias conspiracy just because they have adopted a different position to mine. That's all the OP is.... a cry in the wilderness for someone to stop being mean and agree with MEEEEEEEEE!

Sorry, it don't work like that. You can't enforce some wild idea of equality on what the majority of people think.

Right now, at this moment in time, the political climate in America is leaning towards conservatism. That's largely because progressivism has been such a bust, and liberalism has been co-opted by the progressives. I know it sucks... it sucks when public opinion goes against something I desperately want, too. The difference is I don't throw a fit and go in somewhere griping and complaining about how everyone is against me. I put forth arguments and try to change what is into what I want... sometimes I have some limited success; sometimes I don't.

It's been almost three years since the evil demon named Donald John Trump was elected as President of the United States. Three freakin' years! And still we have people like you going off on tangents about how demonic he really is, although so far you haven't been able to prove a single word of it. It's just childish temper tantrums, and I will agree that ATS is not what it once was because ATS allows these childish temper tantrums. Someone could start a topic talking about whether or not the Loch Ness monster still exists, and dammit if it won't get a reply along the lines of "If Trump wasn't such a [insert horrible yet unsubstantiated crime against humanity here] Nessie wouldn't be dead!"

The very fact that you are able to start this thread is proof in itself that ATS does not censor over political views. If this were a "right wing echo chamber" as you seem intent on claiming, your butt wouldn't be allowed on the site! A similar statement to your OP, biased the exact opposite, would not be allowed to exist on YouTube or Twitter very long! The site itself would remove it and likely ban you for posting it. At the very least, they would take steps to limit your exposure, either by making it hard to find you or refusing to monetize you over your opinion, or something along those lines.

No, you have every right to come here and (within the site rules, which are nonpartisan) post this stinking, decomposing pile of mental diarrhea. Not one thing will be done to make this thread harder to find. You won't encounter any penalties for posting it. The rules we all have to follow have not changed since well before Trump was elected.

The really sad thing is that the only people who care are those who already agree with you. You haven't accomplished one damn thing except do the exact same thing you just wrote a thread to complain about others doing. You mess in one corner of a room and then have the gall to complain about others messing in other corners.

On the other hand, it would appear from your very complaints that what the conservatives are doing IS working... otherwise the number of conservative-leaning folks wouldn't be growing and you wouldn't have anything to complain about (although I suspect you would complain about that anyway). You're losing the battle for hearts and minds, because every defeat you have you try and blame on someone else. Oh, if only the world wasn't biased against you! Oh, if only there were some way to make everyone equal by making them agree with you! Adolph Hitler, help us!

If you want to change opinions around here, it's time to grow the hell up and put on those big boy panties. Debate the facts instead of just throwing around crazy allegations hoping some will stick to something. They won't. You've worn all the sticky off them cow-pies. Act like an adult: propose solutions instead of just complaints, and show us some evidence or logical train of thought to indicate they may work better than the ones you are opposing. Accept that not everyone is going to suddenly decide, "OMG! All these years I have believed X, Y, and Z, but now, because one dude on the Internet wrote one post I realize I have been wrong!" Actually, if you get that response once during a lifetime, I would suggest you just experienced a divine miracle.

Oh, and don't bother trying to tell me you're neutral... if you're neutral, I'm Pope John Paul I back from the dead to renounce my life and preach about the Flying Purple Spaghetti Monster! You're not fooling anyone but yourself.
