You say a black person in America can't be a racist which implies that if that same person was in Africa they would be. Which is wrong a racist is a racist no matter where they are. No, the clan member would still be a racist in Africa if they were from America, because regardless of their placement, they would still be in a position of power from a worldwide standpoint. Have you heard of apartheid?

And, we are not talking about other places. We are talking about America. Here and now, people of color do not, have not, and as far as the current ways of thinking, cannot hold power when it comes to race. Our history makes sure of that.

This country was founded on genocide, and was built on slave labor. Both involved the displacement of people of color.

It's like saying more white folks are on food stamps which is true from a raw numbers perspective, but when taken from the perspective of relative percentage of the population, certain segments of the population have an outsize proportion of their populations on food stamps as compared to whites even if there are more absolute numbers of whites on food stamps.

The same with this - certain segments of the population, although much less in number, commit an outsize proportion of violent crimes as compared to whites although whites have the raw numbers due to overall percentage of the population.

I also note that progressives are very, very happy to use population percentages and proportions to call for racism when this or that workplace doesn't have a workforce that perfectly represents the percentage makeups of the overall outer population, but when it comes to stuff like this, you ignore as suits your purposes because looking into percentages makes certain un-PC truths stand out.

Most of what happened to the native people on this continent is due to accidents of geography and evolution that created conditions where plagues developed in the Old World and not the New, so when the inevitable happened and the two populations mixed, those plagues spread with the inevitable results. It was going to be bad, no way around it. But it was not intentional on anyone's part.
