They already did haul him in there and he made every one of them look like literal idiots and walked out without a scratch.

He's said time and time again that the internet as a whole especially in America needs to be revamped. No one listened. But oh wait all of a sudden Mr Presidents reputation and 2020 election is on the line, quick fire up the cannons Rockefeller's and JP Morgans zombie has risen!

So who was running Facebook, him or ?

Government control over certain aspects of life are needed.

I'm not denying that. But when you have a human invention, that collects human thoughts where do we draw the line from it being a free enterprise human invention and something like water or food?

No one needs the internet, it's a complex global telephone system, nothing more.

Furthermore it has now become a game of superiority control over such an invention. 8s it not alarming how much control the current us government wants to control these companys? Think China.

When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s and 90s. The KKK were idiots but they had a right to speak. And I would not deny that to them . have you ever heard of Morton Downey Junior? You talk about an instigator he had a talk show in the 80s that made Jerry springer look like Mr. Rogers .

Democrats never spoke out against him. The 1980s is what Trump means when he says make America great again . In those days the things that the left find’s trivial (like the first amendment) mattered .

How about dont be an idiot and dont spread misinformation? You want to use their platforms to make up random bs then go create your own access to people on the internet.

I gotta ask. Of the kkk walked into a large factory or waltzed into a news room and demanded they be given a spot to spread their words. Would you allow it?

Going to guess you weren't out of diapers in the 80s, or your strawman would be better constructed. Back then they were rarely if ever denied a permit to go into a public space to spout their stupidity.
The internet is the new town square, and they are being denied a place to spout their stupidity which makes it a free speech issue.
Cause if you really believe in free speech it applies to the stupid stuff as well as what you consider good speech.

Facebook and google aren't the internet. They are companys within it.

So you don't understand the town square analogy.

Got it I'll move along then, have fun with your beliefs.

They have gotten to big to not have some oversight especially when they conspire to influence elections.

Yes there is influence. By the people who use those sites.

Not by the companys themselves. It's not Google's fault more people search left leaning sites and content over conservative.

Got it you are not in favor of free speech, if OKC decided to limit speech in the physical town square we would all be outraged and say the Fed should take steps and they would be right.

these massive online platforms are becoming the new town square and they have already stated that they (google) have changed the algorithem so information they deem not good is harder to find, Facebook has also taken steps to ban people that they dont like, forcing undue hardship on them to get their voice heard in this modern day town square, the Fed has an obligation based on the first amendment to look into and if nescesary take steps to fix the issue.

Now considering Google started from an alphabet agency and they own probably 2/3rds of congress I am not going to hold my breath, but the fed should at least look into it.

Since facebook and google have both taken steps to limit certain groups free speech

Your either young and naïve or lying .

Everything I said was 100% accurate .

People spoke out against the KKK but they were still guaranteed their constitutional right of free speech.

You got aggressive .

That usually means someone is stuck in a corner and lashing out .

The way you described the internet isnt how it works.

It's not a town hall or a central square since no one actually owns the internet. So there is no town hall.

The intention of the internet is to provide a network that people can tap into to relay information back and forth. The more powerful your infrastructure the presence you have on the internet.
Anyone can tap into the internet and do what ever they want technically speaking.
Think of it as a giant plot of land where everyone can stake their claim, google, Facebook, amazon, etc just have large infrastructure I guess buildings, in the virtual world and have their own rules and regulations.
But the internet isnt the wild west it has rules as well. And protections to protect their interests.

It's not even in Google's interest to snuff out free speech, but it is in their interest to protect themselves.

here's a good article to start to see they dont step on free speech.

Also, I'm for free speech, but I'm also for free enterprise and keeping government out of it as much as possible.
It's funny how dems want more regulation, and Republicans want less. But it's not Google or Facebook causing the issue, it's the people who use it.

Calling alex Jones an idiot is aggressive?

I still ask if you owned a company and let someone in to speak and they started ranting about the kkk and making racists remarks, and causing a toxic environment would you want them there?

I'd tell them to get out and do that in a public space.

Anything constructive to say other then insulting his appearance or him attempting to answer stupid questions from people who have no idea what they are talking about?

Thing is, this was all about privacy on the internet and FB using/selling peoples data (which regardless of what he states and what you believe, is pretty much a known fact by...… well, everyone).

Had little to nothing to do with FB's censoring of Conservatives.

The new inquiry will be about that solely and he's going to get his ass handed to him royally..

It's pretty much over for the leftist agenda in the US.

They have tried and failed..!!

McCarthyism is well and truly on the way back in and it's gunna, suck to be on the left in the not too distant future..lol

Mccarthyism is already alive and well. I get called a communist all the time.

But, a point you made is correct and Facebook has been punished, in fact the largest fine in US history, 5 billion dollars. On top of that the government has shoved their way in and appointed a council to take away zuckerberg's power to make decisions for his own company.

I also fail to see how that is a leftist thing tho.

Well, it's hard not to call most people on the left either Socialists or Commies.. As specially with all those hammer and Sickle flags being waved around and Che Guevara T-shirts wherever the left shows up to demonstrate or counter-demonstrate..lol

As for poor Ol' Zukky… Mess with the bull, you get the horns..!!

He shouldn't have taken up a side and advocated violence against political rivals to the left (as per the recent change to their terms of service, making it ok to threaten or actually commit violent acts to anyone they regard as a dangerous individual), which is pretty much anyone even slightly right of Stalin.

This is what this inquiry will probably be bringing up first and foremost.

Social Media outlets are about to be shown in full that they are not a law unto themselves..!!

And yeah, McCarthyism is back, not in full medieval mode yet, but it's getting there..

Me thinks it wont be long before Guantanamo has a whole lot of new residents..lol

You are really good at shifting things so you dont have to deal with the reality, we are more and more using the internet the way we used to use town squares.

a handful of Russian trolls on social media are blamed for causing millions of votes to go to trump, once upon a time that change would have occurred through the new papers, or speeches.
