China's Type 075 LHD

A Type 071 is right behind it. The Type 071 is the equivalent of a San Antonio class LPD and weighs in at 25k tons, pretty much like the USN's LPD.

Not really. So far it has been just about helicopters off the LHDs.

Well, you are wrong there.. we need defense budget not to fight wars but deter them in the first place. ya think hitler would have attacked like he did if people already had well armed military and were able to defend themselves, uh nope...

Now, what china is doing is very very scary however... even more so than anything russia does... why.. for one thing their military, including the bulk in the army is estimated over 2.1 million... if that does not scare you nothing will... now add that they are using all the money and technology they stole from us for building their military and technologies... did you know they have a satellite killer in space already... or how about building a complete military base right in the middle of international waters and thumbing their nose at everyone while doing it... you see, they have no fear and an agenda... they are spending the money and despite playing catch up are getting there....

We have to be real however... they are not going to defeat us with military power, not yet... that navy you think so much of won't last long at all and they will need a whole lot more than they have to be a threat to us with that. Think about it... over a million man army is great and all but you have to get them to the battle field and in the fight and you must support them... that is their problem and why they will never fight in that manner...

They will use technology, emp's, electronic warfare, virus, etc etc... space... then maybe they move in their million man army lol... for perspective, we have 11 carrier strike groups... of which just one could completely wipe out all of the chinese navy lol... so yea, it is alarming, but not what you should be worried about from the chinese...

One last note, don't think military threat from china, think economic... their money is backed by gold and they own 2/3rd the world supply of gold... now that is alarming... and their manipulation of their money is economic warfare... that and their predatory and theft of trade is the bigger weapon... they have zero technology made on their own, their whole country based on knockoff's and stolen technology that started 20 years ago... it was actually smart and more devastating than an actual military lol...

If my source is accurate, China has ordered 8 of the Type 075s. They have three under construction currently.
