How come cities got in the bad predicament they're in when all those regulations were in force ?
Something assbackwards 😎
Because their infrastructures are old. When climate disasters strike, federal funds are tied to rebuilding, including interstate highways, and engineers should look at the climate studies to decide how and where to put the new roads, sewers and communities.

You actually edited that post, in which you asked "Are you saying that if we don't vote for the Green New Deal" something, something, society will fall, or something.
Are you claiming if we do not vote and pass the new green deal NY city can not create codes to meet their infrastructure needs?
So, in my response I tried to redirect your diversion back to why its healthy to address climate issues.
Are you claiming if we do not vote and pass the new green deal NY city can not create codes to meet their infrastructure needs?
False. My post directly addressed the fact cities already can do that, and you didn't like it so you ignored it.

I say cities are harmed by liars who pretend everything is global warming when it CLEARLY is not.

Oh my! Well, I certainly was not trying to deflect from your much needed emotional outlet, hating on one of "The Squad".
But, to be fair, part of the "Green New Deal" has to do with creating a safe infrastructure, to accommodate foreseen flooding and sea level rise, for example.
But, don't mind me. I was just curious about the phrase "best safety practices" and wondering if they were mandated or voluntary. I'm sure your nemesis, AOC would make those kinds of regulations mandatory, with her wild and crazy Green New Deal".
