Berkeley Calif to Ban Offensive "MANhole"

The ordeal is over.

Thank you, Berkeley,...for FINALLY making it trigger-fReeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to walk down the street again.
Just imagine the agony Berkeley residents have had to endure, simply by crossing the street...and having ALL of those offensive 'MAN'holes shoved in their faces.
Honestly, I don't know how they've managed to survive all that pent up outrage for oh so long.

Fortunately, funds will now, FINALLY, be spent to 'gender-neutralize' ALL of those nasty, male-oriented, terms within that universally-read, favorite...'The Berkeley Municipal Code'.

BUT...it even gets better...
In addition to all male-oriented terms, such as 'manhole', being removed and replaced...the term "Pregnant WOMAN' will now, FINALLY, be changed to 'Pregnant PERSON'...so as to avoid any future consternation and confusion to Berkeley's long-suffering populace.

BERKELEY, Calif. — Soon, there will be no more manholes in the city of Berkeley, California. There will also be no chairmen, no manpower, no policemen or policewomen.

The city voted Tuesday night to replace gendered terms in its municipal codes, like “manhole” and “manpower,” with gender-neutral ones like “maintenance hole” and “human effort.”

The revised city documents also will replace instances of gendered pronouns, such as “he” and “she” with “they,” according to the ordinance.

I read too fast at first and thought they were going to replace manhole with pregnant woman hole which I am glad to see is not the plan but may I just point out: “maintenance hole” and “human effort.”

This is so ridiculous, it numbs the mind.

You know what having everyone in the same multicultural gender neutral boat is a good thing.....

Come WW3 we can all die a horrible death together, no more "men on the front line", it will be "everyone on the front line", they could run out of bullets before they get me in their sights and that gives me hope.

Also no more giving my spot up on the life boats to the women and children, not bothering to hold the door or give my seat up is also a bonus, we all need that seat.....
