For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6;14-15

Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit. Acts 2;38

What does it take to find forgiveness?

What does it take to repent?

I believe the Bible here does not instruct anything but simply describes.

All you can do is to live your life.

What will happen in your life for you to repent or forgive yourself?

I don't know how you stand in life nor how these things happen to you.

Beyond dogma and doctrine: forgiveness, and self-forgiveness are beautiful concepts!
Thanks.

It is easy to forgive oneself of ANYTHING...as we are all aspects of God/creator we are guilty of nothing in our pursuit of ITS experiences (good bad or indifferent).

Don't know if it's easy for everyone.
Seems like forgiving oneself, and forgiving others, might be different for each of us.
Some may have a difficulty with one, or the other, or both.

So many of us seem unable to forgive.

Can see a glimpse of beauty, underneath your comment: ..."...we are guilty of nothing in our pursuit of ITS experiences ..."...

Yeah: there is a beautiful idea under there: thanks!

Its very very simple -

- think before you speak or act

And

- treat others the way you would like to be treated.

If you do these two things you cannot help but do what it takes to repent and forgive, more notably if you do these two simple things then more often than not there will be no need for repenting as you should do nothing worth repentance, however the forgiveness will be a action well serviced.

I think emotional baggage destroys more lives and relationships than drug and alcohol addiction, because guilt often leads to addiction. It becomes a crutch.

Also, many people treat their pets better than they treat themselves.

Baffling.

Keep an open mind or as the Bible would say;

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3;5-6

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46;10

Well, the instructions are mostly found in the surrounding verses there in Matthew 6. The Bible also gives the following instructions:

Ephesians 4:32 (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)

32 But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you.

Colossians 3:13

13 Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Jehovah* freely forgave you, you must also do the same.

It really is all about forgiving others, even if anyone has a legitimate "cause for complaint against another". I don't think the Bible talks about the concept of forgiving yourself. The concept of 'forgiving' usually carries the notion of having been wronged by someone else, and then you can either forgive that other person or hold a grudge. The Bible thus encourages to forgive rather than hold a grudge.

You are the living god on earth; Jesus is just another variation of you.

Don't hold any personal beliefs, about any 'reason' why we seem to exist.
But your idea sounds like a fun one!

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. Corinthians 5:17.

The past is the graven image.
Christ is what actually is..... ever present.

The human mind cannot see or hear..... the mind appears as stories that are speaking of other things and other times...... things that are not.

No man can step into the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man. Heraclitus.

It doesn't appear to me as though you've thought that through very well.

An omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent God doesn't need humans to experience anything. Neither would God limit humans to time and space if he really wanted us to experience what it was like to be God either. No, we were all given free will to choose whether to accept God or reject Him for who He is. We were put on this earth to recognize our limitations and imperfections, unlike God. That's why we need God.

God had no form before it created the human and or other specie mobile or not. It could not experience itself in a gaseous state. This is only ONE place TSC among a vast amount of others that are physical and nonphysical realms. This is an experimental place and does not define any limits or limitless areas of habitation. To accept a creator or not is of no concern as it is a known givin one *YOU* was formed to expand the consciousness of that creator to no other purpose. We dont need God as we are living expressions of God.

Where did you "learn" that? The Bible says that God always existed in both a spiritual and physical state and that He created man in His image (not to be confused with an exact replica or clone).

The son is the image of the invisible God, the first born...... prior to any thing.

Before words and labels divide the entire image into fragments..... This is.

God is all knowing....... The Son is what is appearing to be known (this image appearing always presently).
This is wholeness, this is already always complete.... The knower and known are one...... no separation.
