Yes Im safe and it took 21 years but the march through hell is nearly over, I am truly lucky to be alive I have been barked at by some pretty big and nasty dogs, but those I love and care about stuck with me,luckily I was blessed with the quality of my friends and family.

Edge of your seat movie. I made popcorn.

When I see these disaster movies and how people survive impossible odds, I realize that in real life...I'd never make it.

A few words about disaster movies.

Have you seen "The day after tomorrow"?

It is rated only 6.4 at IMDB but i liked it. Usually the movies i like are not getting good ratings or awards.

The fires in bally's neck of the woods are either out or contained.

He may have had to flee and contacting us would be difficult and not his top priority.

It is likely that power is out generally and takes a while to repair or renew the lines. The linesmen have to wait until the fires are out before they can go in.

So hang in there - we all have to wait.

I hope he didn't lose his property and if he did, I hope he had insurance. It can be a longer term godsend.

Thank you for an update from a local, reporter Pheonix. Made me feel little better. Yesterday morning i was watching morning TV at my friend's place and the news said that state of emergency has been declared to Australian eastern coast. And the fires may even threat Sydney eventually. Totally not the right way to begin a new day... If Australia gets mentioned around here, in the news, then it is BIG.

They also said that Finland has been mentioned in the Australian media. Due to being the happiest country in the world twice in a row now. If you see those headlines, don't buy it for one second. Totally BS. Someone give me a video camera as a loan for one week, then after a week i return the cam and show the other side of the "happy" coin.

It could take a week or two to get power and internet restored to country areas.

Let us just keep sending prayers and hope he and his family are OK.

I'll have to install a seat belt in my chair so I don't fall off the edge of the seat.

Last heard from him on the 7th. As Pheonix explained, I'm sure it will be a while before we hear anything.
