He had his ring, i have my beer. It is not healthy to fall in love with something destructive, and me and Gollum, both, did that exact thing.

Mark made it out ok from surgery. He is having difficulty eating right now though because of the tube they had down his throat. Hopefully that will clear up soon enough and there is no damage. The surgery was a long process, but I am greatly relieved now. Risks of something bad happening while having surgery is increased for patients like Mark, so yeah, relieved. Whew! His surgeon is a kidney transplant specialist, so if the times comes for that, he has a good Doctor.

Now I can relax and rest. Think I'll go watch something and maybe take a nap.

Good to read that Mark and yourselves are doing okay after such a day.

I'm still recovering from taking my mom to her doctor appointment while a cold front was coming in causing way too much rain at the wrong time.

"Curses" Smoke about in all directions. Our little village is almost surrounded. Embers landing about the place but luckily they are cold. Very warm here at home. 36.5 C or 97.7 F. Wind freshening from the NW. Warnings coming in from the East.
Roads closed South and West of us. Notification up my end, NNW of the village to prepare to leave.

Topping up and servicing the pumps again today.

Someone get in contact with Pheonix358 to weave his magic again.

No negligee. I can dress up as a fire fighter.

Mark's health will never improve I'm afraid. He is close to needing dialysis and then a kidney transplant. I can only hope and dream that we still have some years left together. Thank you for your kind words my friend.

The fires have kept burning for weeks now but have intensified and joining up on a large front. More rain is what's needed and apart from the deluge that gave us respite from Phoenix358 the land is drying out. Heat and wind are the catalyst. Today is a bugger because I'm reminded of the wind when a door slams in the house. My fault. I sometimes leave a door and window open. The positive side is that with all the burning around I'm sure once the fires go out we can have a black ring of confidence around us for perhaps a couple of years. I am prepared.

Give Mark a hug for me and tell him I'm thinking of him from the other side of the world. I'd rather have fires than poor health. A wish for you and Mark for many years of togetherness. Just like my 'true love' who,,,, get this,,,, went shopping today. ("I need other stuff") Ice cream is not on the list but Avocado's are and some pain relief/antibiotics for a rotten tooth I had pulled the other day. Gives me grief at night much like the frayed lace in my negligee.

Sorry, will be off line for a bit. A 'fire storm is just to my east about 2 klicks. Not showing on the warning map. People at the location there are being evacuated. The sky is darkening and going black out there. Fingers crossed all are okay.

'True Love' is in town but I passed the message. I don't think she'll be able to get through but here's hoping. Putting my woolies on for summer.
