choose knowledge of the world over knowledge of God
Well if everything comes from "god" then that becomes quite the conundrum for the "faithful".

Whether you choose knowledge of the world over knowledge of God is up to you.

Where does thought appear to exist?
This unfathomable depth of perfections, this affluence of treasures, this impetuous infinity of riches, is set in motion by its own inclinations to communicate itself. At the same time God is in Himself conscious that to distribute gifts and graces, is not to diminish his riches, but to increase them in the only possible way, by giving an outlet to the inexhaustible fountain of his riches.

Where does "appear" appear other than on the screen.
The two seem to turn on simultaneously. At first, we might be a bit groggy but we are conscious. When we fall asleep, we appear to lose consciousness along with our waking state. So what is the difference between being awake and being conscious? I have argued previously that consciousness is best defined as wakefulness plus content. Wakefulness is a state of the brain in which it is able to receive input from the external environment and from the self (internal environment). Let us see if we can dissect that out the difference between wakefulness and consciousness by providing some evidence that one can be awake without being conscious.
