Listening to Bernie, Warren and others really gets under my skin. I already think the Republican waste and spend but these proposals by Socialist Democrats is just off the charts crazy. In this day and age we should be moving towards democratizing science and technology and decentralizing Government. WE"RE 22 TRILLION IN DEBT and they want to take us from a Behemoth sized Government to Thanos.

It would mean the Government will have total control over every aspect of our lives from the cradle to the grave. This is what they're saying:

1. Free College for all
2. Pay of all student debt
3. A job for everyone guaranteed employment
4. Reparations
5. Free Healthcare for all
6. Universal Basic Income
7. They're going to control the climate, stop the apocalypse and save the planet.

I mean, COME ON!

How can anyone buy this nonsense coming from Politicians? In order to do something like this, we would be slaves to Government. All of our labor and wealth would go to a few corrupt Politicians. Why would anyone want this?

Like I said, many in the G.O.P. talk about reducing the size and scope of Government but spend like drunken Sailors. This Democratic Socialism is 100 times worse.

They also say, there's no middle ground on any of these issues. That's insanity. In other words, if you're not a climate change fanatic like they are then you're evil. You just want to destroy the planet. The mindset coming from people like Bernie and AOC is right out of the Nazi playbook.

How do you gain total control over the population?

Promise them free everything if they can just tax you more and tell them you're going to control the climate and save the planet. Tell me, what can't you control in the name of saving the planet?

You have to admit that those ideas probably appeal to coming of age voters.
Especially as older voters die.

Exactly but I really thought they would be smarter than this. With the internet and all the ways we can decentralize society, you would think young people would run from Socialism.

Why would you want Government controlling every aspect of your life?

Because the participation trophy society that these kids were raised in has taught them that they don't have to do anything on their own.

I think you're right.

Young people have gotten lazier so when a corrupt Politician promises them everything for free, they believe that nonsense.

Call it Totalitarian Democracy, Democratic Fascism, or just plain, old lunacy... whatever it is called, I don't think it's going to win 2020 like they think it is. Remember, Bernie Sanders ran on this same nonsense in 2016 and he lost his own primary to a fiscally conservative (in comparison) centrist who then lost the national election. 127 million Americans voted in the national election... 13.2 million Americans voted for Bernie Sanders. Hell, I'd say 13.2 million out of the final 127 million, but how many Sanders primary voters got so assed they decided not to vote in the national at all? We could honestly be looking at less than 10% of the voting public standing in support of Democratic Fascism in 2016... do they honestly believe that number is magically going to balloon by 500% after 3+ years of solid economic growth, record unemployment, and no significant disruptions of global peace? LOL, yeah, they probably do... but it's not going to happen.

I don't think lazy is the right term, conditioned might be more appropriate.

They are what they have been made.

Exactly!

It's just pure insanity. I don't know why anyone would believe this or want to be totally controlled by Government.

The ultra rich that are mostly financial backers of the far left? Really? You believe they're going to bend their own benefactors over and go to town like that? Middle class was nice, I hear... back when it wasn't shouldering the weight of the pricetags of Democratic party promises to the poor to secure their votes.

...OK, serious question, how many times are you going to vote for someone because "their plan says they'll tax the rich" only for it to not happen and the same dumb promise be made to cover the next idiotic "Kept Voter" scam the next election time? Look at 2008. The Dems ran on increasing taxes on the rich, on stocks, fixing the environment, single payer healthcare, etc and they had supermajorities in both houses. Um... did they do any of that stuff? Did middle class taxes effectively go up and bear the costs of ensuring the poor kept voting Democrats?

He's not looking at the US's economy, he's looking at new ways to skim off the ultra rich - are you really saying he can't get 1.6 Trillion from the ultra rich of your country? Considering your country is the richest in the world, what percentage of the $250 Trillion do you think is sitting around there?

In total, the report estimates that global households have amassed $250 trillion (an amount equal to 100x JP Morgan’s assets).

I think parents of these lazy, dumb kids (not all, but way too many) are responsible.

Something seriously went wrong two generations ago, not just one.

I was being hyperbolic to an extent for effect. Point is, that it isnt 1.6 trillion for all his handouts. Free College for all and Free Health Care alone for all would dwarf 1.6 trillion needed......
