The Philadelphia energy solutions refining complex blew up last night around 4 AM. By 5 AM the fire departments reported that the blaze was contained .

It took a on site fire brigade and the Philadelphia fire department one hour to get control of the fire.

That amazed me.

Especially when you look at the fire/explosion for perspective ............

Reports are saying it was butane.

The US state department is saying Iran did it.

The news reporter on the clip said gasoline, aviation fuel and petrochemicals.
I think butane would fall under petrochemical.

Maybe the butane blew up but it surely damaged other parts of the refinery

Anything distilled from crude oil is a petrochemical, butane is one of them .

But yeah I’d have to agree it must’ve done other damage .

Really?

You have any proof to back up that statement?

How could they even know the cause this quickly?

Yes. The proof is similar to the drone and tanker attacks.

Crazy stuff. I did a job years ago at a refinery a half mile down Passyunk from there.
If there is a bad leak, there are flares that they use to burn off excess gas which would be a possible source of ignition.

Just so happens to have occurred less than 5 miles from a massive coc aine bust...

Something smells fishy.

I actually chuckled at that. The humor.

Judging from this video
twitter.com...

it occurred roughly here

Philadelphia
Pennsylvania 19145
39.901956, -75.213212

As you can see the video was shot from the Delaware Expressway (I 95) and you can see the Platte Bridge just in front of it.

I would imagine they have safety blowouts like the ones on propane tanks.

for the refining complex itself.

pes-companies.com...

In 2012, Philadelphia Energy Solutions (PES) was formed as a result of a partnership between The Carlyle Group and Sunoco Inc., which is a subsidiary of Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. family of companies. PES separated the combined refineries into separate business units and now operates as a refining complex made up of the two domestic refineries – Girard Point and Point Breeze – with a combined processing rate of 335,000 barrels a day (14 million U.S. gallons) of crude oil. It remains the largest oil refining complex on the U.S. Eastern seaboard.

I would've loved to see that with my own eyes, from a safe distance of course.

I watched this one huge explosion on YouTube, a satellite failed, and the idiots viewing it and recording it didn't know light travels faster than sound and they got knocked on their asses.

If you ever witness one of these explosions, brace yourself and put your fingers in your ears, the shockwave and sonic boom can extend for miles.

Usually whenever there’s any explosion somebody rushes to film to for their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube .

They’ll see the light run to the window and a few seconds later the shockwave shows up and blows the glass in .

Some people will do anything for likes.

U-tube is going to kill more people than malaria .
