I've been pondering a few different aspects of UFO flight lately. And I've come to the conclusion that acoustic levitation and resonance is probably the most doable way of making a UFO work. It seems to me that if you could surround your craft in a type of field that would contain the sine waves needed to levitate yourself you would be capable of a lot of the flight characteristics that are observed with UFOs.

In theory you would have to figure out what type of frequency would make your craft resonate to the point of weightlessness, then figure out a type of field (electromagnetic or otherwise) to contain that resonance around your ship. Then the next problem would be developing a type of suit to separate the pilot from the effects of the resonance and vibration and the field used to contain the vibrations. Especially if it's an electromagnetic field because the effects of EMF on human cognition have been well studied. You don't want your pilot hallucinating while in the middle of high speed travel.

If a person could figure this out and pull it off, you might have a fully functional UFO. Thinking a little further down the line if you had the resonate frequency of water you could develop some type of automated system that would allow you to instantly switch the frequency used and travel under water in much the same way. Maybe it could even be figured out how to make it work in the vacuum of space. And due to the way it would function you might not even need a particularly strong or exotic material to be able to travel like this. Or something as powerful as antimatter for fuel.

I admit, I don't know a lot about the physics involved other than what I've taught myself over the years. What I do know about is vibration and sine waves and I'm well acquainted with their power to effect material objects.

What if to build these crafts no exotic materials or methods of propulsion are really needed? Maybe these UFO's are using a method of propulsion that has been staring us right in the face the entire time? Something so normal in our daily lives that we look right past it?

If anyone has any links or ideas to support this I would love to have a read through them. If what I'm talking about is correct maybe these are human made craft and the aliens people report seeing are just people in weird looking suits that are designed to keep them separate from the containment fields and propulsion methods. Add to that the effect that EMF has on human perception and bam, hallucinations and space aliens for anyone nearby who isn't wearing a containment suit.

What do you think?

The exploration, understanding and development of advanced acoustic technologies is something I believe will most likely embody the next great leap towards our development of a high functioning civilization.
I also believe that acoustic technologies were a significant part of mankind's pre/historic knowledge and for me go a long way towards explaining the mysteries of ancient building, communication and transportation abilities and techniques. There is also the possibility that deeper understanding of the physics governing resonance and harmonics could maybe one day bring enlightenment of the more esoteric fields such as levitation, esp and telekinesis.
Going even further, perhaps acoustic technologies may be the key to unlocking the mysteries of anti gravity and parallel dimensions and could potentially even be the missing piece of a working Unified Field Theory.
I realise this is some way out of the box speculation and I'm happy for people to disagree but I feel deeply that there is alot here we're missing and the properties of theoretical acoustics may hold the answers.
Hopefully in time we can regain, or newly discover the ways of harnessing these technologies as i firmly believe it is our heritage waiting to be rediscovered.
Thanks OP for bringing this up, S&F, i could ramble on forever, it's one of my favorite topics and definitely worthy of investigation, definitely looking forward to hearing the views of others!
EDIT: apologies OP it seems upon rereading your post Ive gone off on a totally different tangent with my reply lol. There is absolutely a common theme however that I feel deserves mentioning though ill try and post my thoughts on acoustic propulsion later(once I get them together!).

I think your on the right path. Look into gravitational spin resonance drive.

I didn't think about how it might have been used in our history to move massive objects, but you're right. This may very well be a concept that has been used before and then lost. Then maybe found again in our current age and kept secret.

I wish I could find a link, but I remember a story I read in a book years ago that described a group of Buddhist monks doing a particular type of chanting and using different bells and instruments to actually move giant bolders.

I think the power of vibration is something a lot of people overlook.

I haven't heard of that, I'll check it out. Thanks.

I liked that. S&F

Hope you don't mind if I share my idea too?
Light repulsion. Like the coulomb laws but with photons.
Think about it: why do they have lights on the lower side? And that would exactly be the amount of energy it takes: a lamp. Plus once you master light you're pretty much certainly also very adapt in harvesting its energy.
Plus the camouflage capabilities. Data storage.
That's the technological advance we need to focus on.
Cracking the photon.

So have you seen:
www.human-resonance.org...

Tesla's breakthrough realization of the nonlinear dynamics of multi-frequency oscillations in the infrasonic range was seeded during experimentation with a pocket-sized electro-mechanical oscillator in 1888. The unusual circumstances of this astonishing experiment were briefly given to a reporter from the New York World-Telegram in 1935, describing Tesla's accidental production of localized earthquakes and acoustic levitation of multi-ton generators and other heavy metal equipment at his East Houston St. laboratory:

"I was experimenting with vibrations. I had one of my machines going and I wanted to see if I could get it in tune with the vibration of the building. I put it up notch after notch. There was a peculiar cracking sound... I knew I was approaching the vibration of the steel building. I pushed the machine a little higher. Suddenly all the heavy machinery in the place was flying around. I grabbed a hammer and broke the machine. The building would have been down about our ears in another few minutes. Outside in the street there was pandemonium. The police and ambulances arrived. I told my assistants to say nothing. We told the police it must have been an earthquake...

Its probably all hog wash, then again........who knows?

Maybe when certain materials resonate they produce light or change color? Cool idea, I'm going to look into that as well. Einstein theorized that light is a particle (photon) and the flow of photons is a wave. Which I would imagine is similar to a sine wave in appearance. So it could be related.

I just had a thought. It may not be necessary for earthlings to waste their time inventing anything!

See:www.coasttocoastam.com...

In the latter half, UFO and paranormal researcher Len Kasten shared his research into various ETs and aliens, the alleged Project Serpo exchange, as well as a Nazi secret space program and ET collaboration. According to Kasten, a swap took place in 1965 when 12 astronauts traveled to Serpo (a planet in the Zeta Reticuli star system-- 39 light years from our location) via wormhole technology, and stayed there for 13 years. It was always light on Serpo because binary suns lit the planet, he added. The native beings of Serpo, called Ebens, had nine visits back and forth to Earth, Kasten claimed, and he believes that Earth has sent their own spaceship to their planet at this point. The Ebens, he suggested, were the same type of ETs who crash landed in Roswell. While Kasten characterized the Ebens as beneficent in nature, the race known as the Reptilians are more callous to humanity. He outlined how they preceded humans on our planet, arriving from the Draco system, bringing the dinosaurs in tow as a food source, and settling in Lemuria. He pinned the mysterious disappearances of people on the Reptilians, who treat us like "farm animals." In a sense, the Allied Forces did not win WWII, though Hitler was defeated, Kasten posited. The Nazis, he continued, went on to achieve a highly advanced space program with bases on Antarctica and Mars (where they first developed nanotechnology).

I suppose you could ask Salvatore Cezar Pais, whose name is on a lot of Navy patents for exotic field manipulation / propulsion devices. I like this one:

High Frequency Gravitational Wave Generator

Combine it with this one and you might have a jump on UFO flight:
Craft Using an Inertial Mass Reduction Device

i remember reading an article about the new concord that was being designed before the accident occured was to be fitted with an antenna of sorts on the front that literally changed the ions in front of the plane to decrease wind resistance and i imagine increase speed so i wondered if positive and negative atoms could be an attribute to a propulsion system as in no resistance or drag anywhere to the ufo so also no g/force . then again maybe i dreamt it cos i cant find the article not sure if it was scientific american maybe .

I initially mis-read the thread title as "Romance as a way of UFO propulsion" - which would have qualified as the nicest, most positive thread title in UFO history.

But it wasn't, so I need to go away and take those flowers outta ma hair.

Thanks for the links to those patents. From what I can make out it seems I'm late to the party on this. I wouldn't be surprised if this has at least been experimented with by the military.

I'd be about 10,000 light years away if that was the case.

Otis T Carr is the direction you might want to follow. I'll taint this thread with my thought on this later, I just wanted to name drop for now.
