I searched the term economy fascism and I think you didn't know the meaning before you made this thread, but it sounds fancy and trendy.

You aren't going to get fair trade with China, just saying.

Re:

For them being this sort of neo - communist nation they rely on cheap labor, without it, they would probably just fall apart. Giving the working class a livable wage is the idea of what communism is supposed to achieve, yet the standard of living in China is rather low. China needs to be a dominant force in order to sustain their unsustainable economy. They will fight to the bitter end. But at the end of the day cheap labor will always be found somewhere else.

You are also ignoring the fact that a 'war' is meant to have a winner and loser. The US saw China as a threat and initiated a tariff war to come out on top.

Is this really about China being crazy protectionist? Or is this more about Trump and his MAGAing to bring back jobs and such. Was the American consumer economy really hurting from iphones being assembled in China?

And you are forgetting a few things...

Like without access to American markets China will eat itself in a decade.

If they stopped buying our Ag, they will be eating themselves a lot sooner.

Because you are also forgetting that although there is a big market for our agricultural products in China, they are not the only customer on the planet.

Vietnam Sweatshop 2.0 isn't a concern here... tackling China to get a decent trade deal is.

Focus.

I could stand another 500 point drop so I can pick up some good stocks really cheap.

Don't worry, life will go on, even if a few portfolios, like mine, take a hit.

Fighting China on this is worthwhile.

You would prefer that China comes out on top?

Because let me point out sweety that if THAT happens Canada collapses soon after.

Nevermind... I've already pointed out that you know nothing of global economics or the stakes involved in this.

But keep posting your opinion on things.

It makes you look smart... honest!!!

Will. I know that for a fair number of conservatives, what words we use do not matter, for them a rose is a rose. However the use of fascist or fascism has become useless.

Using the term fascist is hackneyed. For those who do not know the word hackneyed it is basically a word that is so worn out that it has become a joke on itself and lost all the ''power'' it might have once had.

It may behoove us to find other words, other ways of expressing the same sense of this game of ''power ball'' economics. In doing so, by studying other ways of linguistically approaching these issues we may discover the more intricate nature of the bully boy tactics he believes will serve his purposes.

I feel bad for you having to explain all this to the uneducated. I personally don’t have the patience for it, the whole fascist thing? I was done right there. Just can’t deal with people who start with such ignorance, he must be fun at parties!!a reply to: Lumenari

Yup, keep pushing that I am a dumbass and that I want China to win, when I haven't mentioned anything in that regard. Even tho I just clearly showed that American company's can easily just go somewhere else while China burns, like I care about China, honestly I do think they need to be put in their place, but I also don't agree with what the US is doing.

You want to watch other nations economies just crumble? Because that's what it seems like you want. That's the goal of a war, to win.

LOL fascist.

I do not think you know what the word means. Co-opting is fun.

In response to Trump's most recent indulgence in economic fascism-

Also a Willtell thread: The Reason for the Economic Decline of America

The only way back is to do three things immediately (something neither the Democrats of GOP will ever do now because they are ALL bought and paid for by the elite wealthy) amongst other thing of course:

First: Get the trade policy back to the protectionism is was( protecting US jobs) in past years

Also Willtell:

This deal, TPP, is one of the final nails in the coffin of the buried middle class Americans. Also, one of the cornerstones of the austerity the oligarchs are imposing on the Western world.

Ross Perot isn’t a socialist and he was against NAFTA for the simple reason it took jobs from this country

These trade agreements are Trojan horses for the greedy corporations.

It’s very simple...they can export American middle class jobs to slave wage countries with impunity

Also while there in those slave wage countries then can sue those countries, for example, when the countries try to stop them from selling cigarettes, something they CAN’T DO OVER HERE

They will also pollute these countries air freely

That and more, all things favorable to the globalist corporations are in this TPP and ALL THOSE OTHER DECEPTIVE TRADE AGREEMENT SCAMS…

America is evolving steadily to a Burger King, Wall Mart economy!

There's nothing to stop it

But hey, another day, another thread full of Willtell's anti-Trumpian hysteria...

China has a lot of options to make things uncomfortable for many US companies. They're manufacturing many crucial high tech components without which there simply will be no more Apple.
Despite of what his fanclub says the hammer isn't the right tool for turning screws. But unfortunately the only one he can handle.

Another preelection freetrade gem:

Post election:

Seriously, the bad thing is that our exports are also getting slammed by the fact that Trump left the TPP.

Because the markets have decided that high tech components simply cannot be built anywhere else on the planet.

Oh wait....

I was looking for the specific one about how Trump has abandoned the middle class by not raising tariffs to protect jobs and killing the TPP and NAFTA, but I haven't found.it, and I'm tired of combing through search results. I think we can all see the picture painted though...

Yes we can...

One done with finger paint and fueled by hate.

Brava though.

It's been a long time since I've seen an OP nuked from space.

Waiting for your posts and mine to be taken off and point thingys taken away any time now...

However, to me it was worth the read and worth the reply.

For what it's worth.

Again, you have posted that you have absolutely no understanding of tariffs, global markets and what America is up against right now.

Yes, the goal of a war is to win.

Would you prefer it be China?

Because China and America are the two options as "winner" right now.

I'm not the one pushing the idea that you are a dumbass.

That seems to be your job right now...
