Your -opinion- of what the patch is means absolutely nothing, when talking to someone of a differing opinion.

HAHA! This is why intelligent discourse on this site is so rare.

Uniformed military personnel wearing unauthorized patches that co-op a presidential candidate's slogan and that portrays a jizzed up image of the candidate on the patch, at an event where the candidate is speaking, gives the appearance of a show of fealty to a political candidate, and that's why it's controversial, in the news and being reviewed by military leadership.

And again, when was the US Aircrew not great, again?

Showing support is OK....MAGA hats....NO. And for the same reason that any Obama propaganda would have been forbidden.

lol. Sure. Next thing you know people will be butt hurt about them returning salutes to Trump.

you misunderstand what they are saying with the patch.

I was a flight engineer on awacs, the job (in the air was great) the people I worked with in the air were awesome it was everything else about the awacs community that made me hate putting the uniform on.

Things like people being offended by words on a patch, people being offended by off color jokes to relive the boredom of doing left turns in teh sky for 18 hours, working a 22 hour day then being yelled at for not making PT.

The glory days of being aircrew are behind the military and will probably never come back, things like that patch are just the last dying gasps of enjoying your job instead of killing yourself to make rank.

Showing support for the Commander and Chief would be the least of worries for the Brass. I wouldn't want to be the brass member to punish them for it. Talk about a career killer.

Don't they do that simply by virtue of wearing the uniform?

Perhaps the point in your thread has been missed by some. Others get it.

With Trillions of dollars a year moving around, the entrenched political class is comfortable in blurring the lines with the balance of powers. Not so lucky for the little guy.

Without some major and disruptive event, the push for change will be a slow one. I can see a spring clean with 9/11 as one way to force the issue. Identify the conflicts of interest and look for a better way with how congress, the military and industry have all become interwoven.

Perhaps there are other issues that can bring this out to be sorted. There sure is a lot that stinks in a swamp.
