China though was supported by Nazi Germany. They didn't actually need help. But guess who helped Japan build their freaking Navy? Good ol USA. It is very obvious when their oil supplies got cut. Japs don't even know how to fuel their ships or even get fuel for their ships. If Japs didn't get aircraft carriers, the RoC will be all over them and later gang up on USSR under anti-comintern pact. Before WW2. US had always planned to takeover China just like today. Everyone knows today. Not even USSR went that far into China.
