I don't know why I started this post or titled it 11:25 pm.

Maybe because my love, my wife , heads off to Texas in the morning to help our daughter bring into this world our grandson.

Long story behind that, which I will elaborate later.

We live some 900 miles away from her family. She is packed up and ready to go in her 2006 Mustang, or as she calls it, her pony.

I have been checking her route , looking for any kind of delays and the weather.

Looks good, so far.

So , it's going to be me and our dog, Groot, holding down the fort for a few weeks.

Just going to be sharing my story , so take it or leave it.


PS: There WILL be drinking and music involved with dealing with her absence, we haven't been apart in 5 years.

I clicked because it wasn't the time you stated in your post title anywhere in the world. So as a drunken ass, I had to see what I assumed your drunken ass was talking about. I'm assuming you are east coast, yet somehow it took you seven minutes to post a 30 second post.

Congrats on the wee one, sorry your wife left you(for only a few days, or so you believe ...), I however can never condemn any amount of alcohol consumption.

Yes, I know. Thought about it after I posted about the time , and thought, dammit, I went to go pee and get another beer before hitting the post button.

I do condone plenty of adult beverages and, btw way, the wifey will be back in a few weeks with the elder grand daughter to stay for a few weeks.

Ah, so the wife will return with sweet company, so not only will you be getting the rare treat of some time to yourself (rare once the family gets going), but you'll be getting some time with your granddaughter when she comes back.

That's a win/win in my book.

And congrats on the new grandkiddo!

Well, atleast you have some free time before the ol ball and chain returns to hold you to your responsible duties.

Personally, I'd use the time to eat/drink all the things she doesn't want you too, and probably catch up on some of the more important youtube content you miss out on(like Steve1989 mre reviews).

Yes, 9 year old grand daughter to enjoy until either

1. Mom wants her back.

2. Gran daughter wants to go back home.

3. Grandma and grandpa are ready to send her ass back home.

Taking bets on that one.

But in the mean time, enjoying it.

So my lady got off to a good start this morning and nearly half way there.

I still have a dog, wont go into details, but his survival was sketchy for a bit.

Restocked on beer, so I am ready for some music......

Damn woman is hard headed.

It's been 4 1/2 hours and no word from her.

She was in hope Arkansas at about 6:30 pm eastern time. Her plan was to finish the trip, another 5 hours.
