Officials in the Yukon’s most northern community have declared a state of emergency, saying the traditional way of life in Old Crow is under threat. “It’s going to be the blink of an eye before my great grandchild is living in a completely different territory, and if that’s not an emergency, I don’t know what is,” said Dana Tizya-Tramm, chief of the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, after a ceremony marking the state of emergency May 19.

Yukon Indian Chief: We are seeing birds up in our community we have never seen before – Their migrations are changing – The snow is changing – The rivers are changing – Everything is changing right in front of our eyes

I don't put this on man made global warming. I think it has more to do with the rapid movement and weakening of the magnetic field around our Earth and the suns cycles. There is no doubt things are changing, but I don't think humans can cause such profound changes.

The weak magnetic field lets in more radiation that causes changes in the weather. The moving magnetic field messes with animals navigation systems. These are scientific facts. It is also a fact that the changes of the sun's cycles influence our weather and the magnetic field.

Darwin basically said, adapt or die.

Better make your choice up north.

You would think most of the changes would be a good thing for the Yukon.

The Mississippi River life has changed over the last 30 years. Won't surprise me if we start seeing alligators in Illinois in the future.
A side note : sama fish (japanese) was 100 yen a can last year, now this year its 200 yen a can. Fish are disappearing very fast. But the damn jellyfish are thick as flies these days. My mulberry tree mulberries ripened about a week early this year also. Very warm air temperature this year.

The same in all of our 1st Nations.

When all the white man who stole the land that belongs to everyone...ruins it with greed, death, pollution and war....the land will return to the Native people's.

No mater the cause...man or climate. Earth Mother belongs to all...

The Sun is changing

The light it gave off in the 60s had a yellowish tint to it. Now the Sun gives off a whiter color spectrum. Its probably doing other things too

This is not something new.

They have been talking about this for a long time.

I don't believe there is any conspiracy here.

Here's an article I read a few years back. (sorry, can't post exerpes)

Didn’t steal anything, did a little trading fair and square. The Indians weren’t some peace loving hippies. They were all ways at war with one another.. more white man bad B.S. a reply to: mysterioustranger

Warm?

Not really.

I'm sitting here almost into June and we have yet to crack the A/C. That's rare, and the way the temps look, we may not need it until mid-June which is virtually unheard of in the US heartland.

Heck, we had our furnace on last weekend for two days!

This month of May in Phoenix has felt more like March down here too.

I noticed that as well. I have been going to the beach here in Florida since the 60's. Now it is putting out what seems to be higher radiation. We used to stay at the beach all day long. Now after an hour or two it is two much to deal with. Obviously I am older now, but there is a marked difference.

There were non-warring tribes, and any investigation into the history of early dealings between natives and europeans will find that it was not all just "a little trading fair and square".

Yeah, I agree, much of what they are seeing is because of changes in the magnetic field, although our man made changes are enough to increase the effect a bit but even if we stopped all carbon emissions it would not be enough to reverse anything. It would definitely be good if we were to treat mother earth better.

You will get no argument from me there. Most of what we do to harm the Earth is hurting us a lot more. The Earth can recover from mankind pretty easy with all the time she has. Mankind on the other hand will not have it so easy.

You are spouting liberal nonsense. Global climate change is not man made therefore it does not exist. This is ATS.

The planet changes. Always has, always will. Mankind, regardless of tribe or nation, is short-sighted, greedy, polluting, and stupid. We are also capable of so much creativity and love. all are relevant to climate change and environmental degradation - natural and human caused.
So how are we going to respond?
We must stop being so friggin' awful to the planet and to eachother. Die soon or figure it out and thrive.

LOL....lol...the word indigenous was created so as to technically and legally parse an entire race of People....it was a fraud...Red men were slumming it in NA.....they were transient because they were DISPLACED by the thousands then quickly reproduced into the millions.Squatters.From another Continent.

We are ALL squatters on Mother Earth. This is only our temporary home.

They ended up in NA when no one was home...but someone was there before them and they were not red skinned.

Mother Nature has no favorites...she favors the fortunate and the strong.

Red men fought to kill to protect resources....they killed each other...until someone else arrived … the rules changed from killing to negotiation.....only a hypocrite would prefer inter-tribal warfare to another kind of warfare....killing is killing.

Mother Earth belongs to the Meek. Not to a skin color. Not to a false power.

There weren't enough Buffalo and wild Plants to support everyone....agriculture was needed to support a growing humanity....anyone coming to NA had equal rights to the Buffalo and Plants.....EVERYONE...had a humanitarian responsibility to work together however some people who were already sharing resources insitu believed Mother Nature only provided for them not anyone else.

There are a Billion Chineese and a Billion Indians......be serious...the Red Mans party was ending sooner than later...the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Today NO ONE can randomly without controls harvest natures resources without thought to others.Of course everyone tries to freelance...but that's how wars start.Global resource management prevents war.
