Absolutely disgusting is a pretty strong statement. On a scale of 1-10, what would you rank them compared to a 100% beef burger? Price-wise, it seems they are about double beef, but taste and texture are my biggest hang-ups.

In my book veggies are what you put ON the burger. Tomato, onion, lettuce, pickels.
Inside the burger is 100% cow.
But I am traditional that way.

You are so normal when it comes to food.
I think we could eat at the same table.... no politics though.

The texture is ok- like a medium hamburger. Theses things don't quite brown the same, The sausage texture is good, but the taste is a bit off. I've used the "ground beef" substitute in tacos and spaghetti sauce and its softer than ground beef. I sub it in for red meat, as I have coronary artery disease. My doc says to steer towards very lean cuts of beef- I thin she's afraid Ill get sick of the fake stuff and go nuts, or she just doesn't know enough about it. The coconut oil in the fake meat isn't great for you. To recap- its good, but not great...
