Youtuber "Soph" - 14 yr old right winger girl - what's the deal with her channel?

I unfortunately came across this topic and I feel disgusted that I even have to consider what is going on with this issue but it actually has a lot of aspects of internet censorship (youtube) along with manipulation and exploitation of children (on many different levels) and possibly CGI youtube "vloggers". So I'll break down the issues surrounding this "right wing rebel".

-Comments have been disabled on her channel. IDK if you remember about 5-6 months back I started a thread about YT being a fertile ground for soft core child porn/voyeurism and the way it was done was through the comments where people would put time stamps at points which were inappropriate or possibly "sexual" and it was disgusting how many replies/likes these comments got. After posting on here within days YT did something about it, IDK if people here emailed them or what, but it really was w/n a week. But she is claiming censorship b/c she doesn't have those provocative poses/dresses like the other channels and people can't comment on her political discussion.

-This girl started her channel when she was 11 (5th grade) and I watched parts of a few videos and I have to say that this whole thing feels 100% scripted and there is no way children talked like she did with the vocabulary and the level of thought on geopolitical issues, cultural/societal issues and inter/rapersonal relationships YEARS ahead of her (like talking about marriage and child rearing..). Yet she is put out there as being an authentic smart rebel right winger who has got those woke lefties in her sites. It is cringy to think people believe these are her words/thoughts and that there isn't a lot of adult scripting/input into this. So this is the issue of child manipulation and exploitation. Being a political activist from the time you are 11 to 14 years old can create a mindset that is permenant and is not the realm for children.

I just listened to an hour interview with her on some right wing channel and now she is 14 and I have to say I get the impression that it is still 100% scripted. There is a level of complexity in the jokes she tells that for someone to naturally come up with these things, they have to have lots of worldy experience and interaction with people on a fairly intimate level (adult level) and that is where the jokes come from, from the deep understanding of the history of cultures, their current situations/behaviors/attitudes/etc and a full understanding of their trials, tribulations and hardships. Tragedy + time = comedy? Or something like that. Well, these are very complex things in a very complex world that takes people decades to wade through and come to terms with the viewpoint of others. Heck, there are septuagenarians and octogenarians that can't grasp these things, but we are supposed to believe that an 11yr old does or even a 14 year old has this all under lock? Heck, we need to start electing 8yr olds for president if that is the case.

So this brings up the issue of CGI and possible deepfake type trickery. This girl already admits to using green screens in her productions. Voice manipulation & matching is already fairly simple if you have the equipment and rendering a face on a person at a desk isn't that hard. Watching this interview and the video's from 3 years ago made me feel this way 100%. There are movements, gesticulations, voice inflections, etc that people develop over time and very few 11yr olds have this unless they are trained to mimic these things, and if that is the case - see the paragraph above.

I think that it's possible to have a character like this 14 year old girl be played by an adult on a green screen and then also have the real 14yr old appear in live situations, which we have yet to see one where there is an indepth interview - it's all behind the "screen". This is the type of thing that can be done these days and the viewers can't really tell what is going on, they can be misled by some 400lb 70yr old person who is playing a 14yr old person on a green screen with CGI and we are lead to believe that the REAL woke youth, who actually have a brain, are of XXX political affiliation. Total manipulation and exploitation.

Now if this girl is 100% legit, then there is an entirely different story to be had and it is almost as troubling, but it is more localized but it is still an issue of exploitation IMO.

This is no where near as bad a level of exploitation as with "Lactacia" and "Desmond the Amazing".

Whoever gave her the idea and helped was a GENIUS, I'll say that much. The views are out of this world I'm sure. That's a lot of money from YouTube in addition to lord knows whatever else goes on behind that.

If I wanted to give birth to a click bait child, an endless advertisement money mill, I'd have to think of something grandiose. A 14 year old white girl who's far right and obnoxious. People wouldn't be able to get enough! Love her or hate her, she's getting views from fans, like minds, the shock factor of it and posts on social media from her opposition to denounce her and spread the word.

Shameless and ugly but this is the era of making money out of thin air.

So, yeah it is scripted, but she's not hiding from that. And yes she gets some help with the script from a guy who used to work with/for anthony fantano. Most big youtubers also have help to produce content.

But in her actual conversations and live interviews she comes across as a pretty intelligent young lady. 20 years ago, I would think she would have a very bright future in political activision of some sort. But sadly I doubt she will be allowed to be around much longer.

We should be encouraging more kids to be able to speak their minds and watch their opinions grow and change over time. At least she's trying to think for herself. It's silly to be upset so easily by words.

I agree with the both of you, no where near as bad as that Desmond character and IDK about the other you mentioned. As far as the money mill, I have to think this is what it is. I suggest you "guys" check out the channel to see if you get the feeling of it being an authentic 14yr old talking or close your eyes and see what age person you picture. I feel like it's a puppet show wit someone with their hand up her back or a marionette pulling the strings.

Thanks for pointing that out. In her interview she mentioned that name "vapor" something but it sure seemed like it was in passing and that she was really pushing that this was 100% her.

I'm not against her or anything, I'm more interested to know if this is really her thoughts or if it is someone elses b/c if she has this level of understanding of what she talks about, I want to know how she was taught, what method was used to teach her, etc. This really isn't an attack on any aspect (unless it's child actor exploitation, or CGI manipulation) of her, I'm more impressed if this is authentic and I dont' care about her views so much, more her understanding of these things, b/c her views will change b/c of experience and I'm more interested in the background of how she absorbed all the various aspects of culture, world, etc, especially since she goes to public school.

That's a bit more than being yourself. That's being a fake political activist who cant even vote in 2020 thats being given a script of bait material to make money.

Remember yourself at 14? I remember and I wouldn't listen to a word I said back then about politics, society. I hadn't lived yet, I didn't really know anything and it would've been laughed at and hated on by a select few, never getting anywhere.

Imagine if I were a girl though with a sympathetic, understanding like mind as yours. "We should have more kids that do this, it's good that she's speaking her opinions". Wont be around to do it much longer? If she's not breaking terms of service, she's free to do it until she finishes going through puberty, matures and realizes it's wrong or stupid and extra then enjoys the money from it but being that young it probably gets squandered unless she has a handler. Maybe it's the script helper. Maybe thats her "bf" lol. Maybe he's 18+.

I guess it's hard to know exactly how much is her input, and how much is Vaporub boys input. But she does have pretty well formed opinions of her own, which is why I've listened to a couple of her interviews in long form. She's certainly a very 'woke' young lady. I certainly don't agree with a lot of her views, just making that clear.

She's using her free-speech and using shock to get her message across. Fair play to her, but yeah, I think that will be her un-doing.

Hopefully she weathers the storm and can come back in 10 years on a new platform that allows free thought and speech... But I doubt it :-/

A few calls here or there from buzzfeed to google and twitter will quell her descent.

I listened to one of her performances and to my ear,
it sounds strained, even fake.

There’s a backstory about her male mentor, according to
a gossip site which is almost unbearable to sift through due to
the poor writing and sickly tone used throughout, which implies
there is something unsavory going on between the two.
Who can say? I feel I have to clean myself every time I visit the site,
but too, I have a feeling much of what is presented there is true.

Basically, if anyone is seen on TV, or if you have heard their ‘song’,
then it’s a fair bet that you have just been exposed
to a sex trafficker, drug addict, or serial abuser on myriad fronts.

On topic, aside from the obvious scripting, there’s something not quite right about the girl.

Are they all fully formed and realise the full context yet? Not really. But I can confidently say she is a heck of a lot more switched on to what is actually happening around her in the world than 95% of the adults I talk with.

I am not ashamed to admit I was pretty naive when I was 14.... 18....25.... probably took me until I was 30 to really have formed opinions about the world. So thats why I had my doubts about her and decided to have a listen to her. She's certainly not as concise about her stances, but she does know what she is talking about. We should be listening to these smart kids. Right or wrong, we should be listening.

It would be foolish not to listen, especially with kids picking up guns willy-nilly all over the place. Rather than just listen to the easily coddled lefty kids who don't want to hurt any feelings. What will be learn't listening to those types? Very little. You gotta hear the kids who are not afraid to speak their mind to have any chance of keeping society together.

I think there are plenty of kids like her who do not have the stones to talk like her or be listened to about issues that effect them personally. And those types can go on to do horrid acts.

I watched 10 seconds of the suicide bomb video and it was painful.

It's all I needed. No 14 year old girl talks like a MSM reporter in a homemade jail outfit from drama class. She's reading clean off of prepared writing for her. I'd be willing to bet she believes whatever's been inviting and beneficial from her surroundings. Kids want to be stars, love being liked by strangers.

I'm a little girl reading rehashed, well worded opinion pieces on popular far right subjects that resound within the community. Many likes, shares, and $0.0x per view hits that add up to several hundreds of thousands or millions of clicks per video. Thanks guys, Vaporub has more drug money.

You travelled to visit a 14 year old far right YouTube girl and spent a couple of hours in the background chatting with her?

Sometimes, edgy esoteric and deadpan nihilism is good, sometimes it's just not right...

All I can say to that, is that is the exact knee jerk reaction she's expecting. Someone who listens to 10 seconds, and makes up their mind. Perhaps make it to the end of the video?

The first video I saw was her threatening Susan Wadsjitski (or however that's spelt) and her family. My first reaction was 'wtf'.... But then I realised she was doing it exactly for that shock value. I listened further into her video and she brings up some interesting points. Are they her's or vaporubs? She says that its both of them contributing. After listening to her non produced videos, I would think she does have a big hand in what she does. But it is obvious vaporub helps her form better language and concise wording. But most youtubers who have successful channels also have help! Don't forget she's still a kid in school.

I think we should listen to her as a window into what kids think, especially since she's being so open, that's a rare opportunity that I think would be silly to shut down. Again, I don't believe in all her views just making that clear!
