I want to start by providing some context to what the implication of the thread title means.

Amnesty International, along with several news outlets have alleged that China is holding up to 1 million ethnic Uighur citizens in "re-education" camps.

(Here is a wiki link that has a large compilation of sources on the issure)

Among those allegations include accusations of torture and people going missing for expressing cultural differences that do not fit with the socialist whole.

Now queue in Hunter Biden (Joe Biden's son).

ON WEDNESDAY, Human Rights Watch released a troubling report about a phone application made by the Chinese government. The app provides law enforcement with easy, daily access to data detailing the religious activity, blood type, and even the amount of electricity used by ethnic minority Muslims living in the western province of Xinjiang.

The app relies heavily on facial recognition software supplied by Face++, a division of the Chinese startup Megvii, a relationship that sparked questions in the press for Megvii investors. One of the most prominent of these investors is Alibaba Group Holding, which was co-founded by Jack Ma, the wealthiest Chinese billionaire and an icon for the country’s image of entrepreneurship.

Hunter Biden’s investment company in China, known as Bohai Harvest RST, has pooled money, largely from state-owned venture capital, to buy or invest in a range of industries in the U.S. and China. Bohai Harvest has put money into an automotive firm, mining companies, and technology ventures, such as Didi Chuxing Technology, one of the largest ride-hailing companies in the world after Uber. (Hunter Biden, Bohai Harvest, and Joe Biden’s presidential campaign did not respond to a request for comment.)

In 2017, Bohai Harvest bought into Face++, part of a $460 million haul in the company’s Series C investment round. Bohai Harvest’s website features Face++ in its portfolio of investments.
The Intercept

I think we'll be seeing a lot more of this story as we approach 2020, but I think it raises some alarming questions. First of all, I wonder what a Biden presidency would have on the docket in regards to US policy related to China if his son flourishes in that country. It should be noted that these are allegations at the moment, but with the amount of people reporting this to different outlets, it appears that something is going on in the region and perhaps the extent, extremity, and numbers reported would be the contention in discussion

Right now, this isn't really known, but it's becoming a glancing issue though, enough so that it'll continue to grow in presence until a major media outlet brings it to light.

I think the world would be shocked if they found out what was really going on there.

You don't find it interesting? I think the OP is pretty unbiased and just presents information for people to decide on themselves, sorry if you didn't like it.

Even if it turns out that the human rights issue turns out to be exaggerated, and Biden gets the ticket... This alone could bury him in debates. If Trump went through so much for alleged ties with Russia (who has a GDP comparable to Texas), his opponent would have potential interests in a country who may surpass us as a whole soon.

Could we trust Joe with the the US's interest as a whole over his son.

No problem, your OP was fine. If there's a thread in which I happen to have interest, I usually look for additional info to provide further context or more detail in order for people to be able to make better determinations on the topic in said thread; if I'm not interested in the topic of a thread I generally disregard the thread and find one in which I do have interest.

It always amazes me that people will go into a thread that they're not really interested in doing anything other than thrashing and trashing the work of others. It's like they have some sort of script running on their computers that compels them into threads that they don't like solely for the purposes of making angry little noises that amount to less than the flatulence of an insect.

One question is more curious than all the others though...

Why would they run Biden. If this story gets any worse, he may be a worse option than Hillary. Occasms razor would say incompetence, or he's so well known.... But that isn't sticking for me.

Well, it's possible Trump is and has always been controlled opposition and that he's not really draining the swamp just providing cover while it is cleaned enough so that no serious blowback can occur should anyone actually set on bringing down the corruption in DC actually make it to the presidential office.

If that's the case, then he needs another opponent that would be as easy to beat as was Hillary.

Or so my odd thinking mind thinks is possible.

It's amazing what you learn about the Biden family when you type in "Hunter Biden" and limit your search to Jan 2012 thru Jan 2016.

Example: Old "middle class Joe" is anything but. He pulled strings for Hunter Biden in a way that is now coming back to haunt him.
