Since Pope Francis is from South America, he has a heart for migrants arriving into Mexico from the South. To that end, he is donating $500,000 to help them cope while "stranded" in Mexico.

The money is specifically meant to aid the 75,000 migrants who arrived in Mexico in 2018 as part of six caravans, according to a press release from Peter's Pence.

All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood. The Catholic Church hosts thousands of them in hotels within the dioceses or religious congregations, providing basic necessities, from housing to clothing,” Peter's Pence said.

The organization said the donations were currently needed because “media coverage of this emergency has been decreasing, and as a result, aid to migrants by the government and private individuals has also decreased."

Why are these migrants considered to be "stranded" in Mexico? Millions of people live and make a living in that country. The migrants who are unable to get into the United States (for one reason or another) can stay in Mexico too. The important thing is that they're no longer "fleeing for their life" from some dangerous threat at home.

Who did he donate the money to?

That would make it seem like there are NGO's that are responsible for helping the migrants move from their home into the US. Wouldn't it?

I wonder what these NGO's intent is and what could possibly be their political affiliations/motivations?

As for the popes...gesture....I could care less what that old pedo hiding fool has to say about anything. I wouldn't want his advice on how to dig a camp site #hole, let alone on OUR countries migration issues.

Plus, the vatican is one of, if not the richest "country" in the world.

Take that half million, times it by 100 and then why not donate it to the countries directly to drag them out of their own crap.

The man is just another tool in the elitist NWO toolbox. His fancy robe shouldn't make him seem any less destined for the gallows in the town square.

Why didn't he buy them plane tickets to Italy?
The Vatican sure like to act like everyone's moral superiors but they didn't say much when ole Adolf was rounding up the Jews.

Maybe he should focus on the blueprints to replace his burned up church.

He's a fool, spouting anti sovereignty rhetoric while sitting behind massive walls with a military force.

He's banking on their being more fools than there are people who can see through his stupidity. Sadly, he's betting on the right horse.

Didn't Pope Francis say that President Trump shouldn't build a U.S.-Mex. border wall? Wall are "immoral", or something to that effect?

Word play, it's more like reallocation than donation.

They just took some of the money they've "consolidated" and reallocated it back to the region they've taken it from, in order to help subvert a nations sovereignty.

Don't recall seeing that one, last picture I saw was the photoshopped one that removed the 100K+ watch from the vatican officials wrist in some "photo op".

Snakes and charlatans, the whole lot of them. Burn it down, burn the whole damn devils den down.

It's past my bedtime, obviously.

I just saw a news flash saying President Trump's administration has started sending overflow migrants to sanctuary cities.

When the common sense you allude to has failed our DO NOTHING Congress, this is what you get.

We should send a flight a day of the most dangerous migrants to the Vatican, so Francis can rid them of their devils, and rehab the pour souls.

As long as all the migrants we flew over were children, below a certain age, I'm sure they'd take every last one of them.....

Oh...a financial shell game! Good point.

In that case, the Pope could have sent $50 million, and it would just be a drop in the bucket, compared to how much money Mexican Catholics donate to the church. Cheapskate Pope. Tisk..tisk..tisk.

Obviously, the gesture was meant to only be symbolic, not to actually help anyone. It's nothing more than buzz words for the global media to paint a pretty picture with while inflicting no actual change.

Why doesn't the Vatican extend an invitation, and give them asylum there? The Catholic Church is filthy rich... so much for Christ's message of poverty, and charity...

I was raised Catholic. I turned my back on the Catholic "faith", long ago. I have zero regrets.

The Pope, a foreign monarch, is funding the de-stabilization of our sovereignty. That is, essentially, an "act of war".

Strange times we are living in...

And, does or government even respond? Is Trump tweeting? Are they afraid of upsetting the Catholics in the US? This would normally be considered helping our enemies. Nothing?
