Why conservatives win some battles, but usually lose the war

Example #1

The ACLU, through the use of judge shopping, systematically takes down any law or executive order that threatens the left's agenda. This could be regarding abortion, the sacred union of marriage, drugs, religious symbolism, sanctuary cities, our border, immigration etc.

Conservative response: Ignore the ACLU and fixate on what someone on CNN said. View CNN as the most important enemy.

Example #2

Our educational system has been completely taken over by radical liberalism and serves as a form of indoctrination, not education for our young people. This is true for all levels of education. State, private, public...

Conservative response: Complain about it, but do absolutely nothing to change it. Most teachers are leftists. Most administrators are leftists because conservatives don't care enough to take positions within the institutions to change it.

Example #3

It is no coincidence that we have seen a massive surge in the amount of illegal alien caravans arriving from Latin America trying to force their way into our country since Trump took office. The left suffered a massive defeat in 2016, and they understand that the only way they can take full control of this country is to replace the demographic with foreign born occupants with a penchant for socialism. With the funding from George Soros foundations and radical groups like CASA in Chicago, the left has formed a coalition of liberal lawyers and activists that travel to Central and South America to organize these groups. Our own people, right here in the United States are creating these caravans.

Conservative response: Completely ignore or fail to expose and challenge these groups. Only know that George Soros is bad but not fully understand how he operates. Have no clue what CASA is or that it even exists. Think a barrier at a border will solve all of this chaos. Conservative business owners have also been of no help by knowingly hiring people that have obtained stolen identities to gain employment in our country. So the magnet remains.Giving these people the right to vote is already underway in many US cities and municipalities. Once that becomes widespread, you can kiss this country goodbye. I don't think many on the right understand how serious this is. Especially those that think this is six or seven spots down on the totem pole of importance.

Everyone at this point realizes that Google, Twitter and the other social media outlets of silicon valley hold extreme liberal views and actively try to silence conservative speech. Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, alternative social platforms like GAB have been de-platformed by all major carriers like Microsoft and Apple. Google actively buries Conservative media within its searches. It's completely out in the open that Google actively tried to influence the 2016 election in Hillary's favor.

Conservative response: Know the problem exists and complain about it on Twitter. I see no one in the conservative movement creating platforms or alternatives. No one of significance in the conservative movement has the knowledge or skill to counter these monopolies on speech and ideas. This includes our own President who makes Twitter billions of dollars. We just continue to use these services and suffer.

Example #5

Hollywood and the entertainment industry have become the leading pusher of left wing indoctrination. I like to call move theaters indoctrination chambers where people are reprogrammed to give up all their rights and liberties. Where they are desensitized to corruption and evil, and even taught to embrace and accept it.

Conservative response: Many on the right understand this is a problem, but continue to take their children, their wives and husbands to the movies, spend money on Netflix subscriptions or other marketplaces that just put money back into the pockets in Hollywood. No convictions, no creativity when it comes to finding alternative forms of entertainment. Just sheeple returning to the chamber for another lesson.

Example #6 Conservatives do not understand why the left has pushed so hard for the legalization of marijuana. A medicated society is a pacified society. A pacified society is much easier to take control of. The Romans learned this the hard way. The visigoths faced little resistance conquering a drunken Roman city. The left has used false justifications (pot is safer than alcohol) or used outright propaganda (pot is a cure all wonder drug that is completely safe) to chip away at public opposition. They have won this battle.

Conservative response: Actually adopt or believe much of the left's propaganda. Many on the right have been blinded by the wealth they can generate through the green rush. A society completely uncaring to what this does to our social and mental health as a country. No regard for how this will affect our children.


Liberalism is the opposite of work. it is the natural resting place for a neglected society. It's the bottom. Conservatism takes work. When conservatives stop working, everything slides downhill.

I for one think the government should make more plants illegal. Yay big government, lets spend more money on the war on drugs, maybe this will be the war we win!

The reason conservatives are always on our back foot is much simpler. The left organizes all facets of their attack on the right . Including outrage and taking there were aggression to the streets .


The right doesn’t .

Well, take solace in that it use to be completely flipped the other way around and the identitarian left is currently making all the same missteps the old identitarian right did when it brought them down. So this worm shall too turn.

I wish everything wasn't reduced to a dumbed down fight of one stupid ideological cult vs. another, but I suppose that is just the world we live in. Perhaps someday reason will prevail. Just don't hold your breath.

In a society where everything goes, everything eventually does. I do not think Libertarianism is a logical ideology..for the same reason we could not survive in society without police.

But you missed the point. it goes beyond government control or not government control. It's about understanding cause and effect. It's not as limited and simple as liberty and personal freedom. Not when your liberties affect others.

The right doesn’t .

Conservatives are always on the defense instead of offense... they allow the left to define everything and then conservatives have to react.

One of the reasons Trump is so successful is that he isn't afraid to get on the offense.

While I don't agree with the OPs post entirely, I do think conservatives haven't though longterm. Leftist seem to be good about slowly taking over across generations hence playing a long game with infiltrating k-12 and college/university education to indoctrinate the youth and their dominance of hollywood. Truly nefarious...

I think you're right. We can't let China beat us with percentage of population incarcerated.

Plus the billions of tax payer money for the war on drugs and people in prison boosts the economy.

We won the battles that matter: the Presidency and the Senate.

Soon there will be a 6 to 3 Majority in the Supreme Court.

I think I can sum up your op pretty easily.... Conservatives are rational critical thinkers that give people the benefit of the doubt. Liberals are emotionally driven but cunning crazies that take advantage of other people's good nature.

What you just said is literally what the difference between a left thinking ideologist does and says and what a right leaning could do but never really does follow through with. Trump isn't the light at the end of the tunnel for right leaning people because they don't want to radically change, and in order to change society you need radicalization.

Sure you get people who champion right leaning rhetoric and take it too far, but when they do, it's singling out a specific group of people for a specific reason, for example, the mosque shooting in new Zealand, or basically any Islamic target (yes Islam is an extremely conservative way of life). When far left leaning ideologists target something, it has an enemy and it has a cause that is rather broad and usually encompasses many different subjects and usually ideas are the target, not the physical entities or places or what ever themselves.

The main difference is the left push and push, and push until it becomes this massive topic of discussion and then the right comes along and points out the faults in the rhetoric that has gone to far and then ideas clash because of the push back.

Because what the left says is essentially you do you whatever that is, no matter what, and whenever there is a problem in your life, it's someone or something else's fault, not a natural consequence of you doing you, ever, and if you doing you creates an incompatibility with being productive in society ... well, society should create a place where you are supported in your quest to be you doing you, no matter what, forever, and if society hasn't created that space, then it's someone else's fault and not your responsibility to create that space for yourself, ever.

The right says you can do you, but you have to be responsible for whatever comes of you doing you and it's no one else's responsibility to take care of you doing you.

You tell me which sounds like less work and is therefore much more attractive.
