I own an SR-71.....sort of.

OK...so for those of us who need a leg up when it comes to even the most simple topics...what did you buy? You talk about tags and skins (no clue what that means) and you show pics of an SR71 or maybe an engine-less shell of one that maybe you bought or the piece of metal or all those piles of material...I'm just lost. Someone help please,

It's a piece of the aircraft. They damaged the tail when moving it, so they took the damaged tail and cut luggage tags from the outside skin and interior honeycomb. The pictures are of the aircraft that donated the tail.

Such a beautiful aircraft. Whenever I am out at Edwards I make sure to swing by and see it.
