Well, here is a willow branch.
suspiciously familiar.



i can't find any corals that look like this, but Coral still appears to be a possibility.

That's spot on ! A tree branch crazy wonder how it formed its just like glass like it was flash frozen , Dosent look like any type of petrified wood I've come across . Thank you sir !

The glassy core looks like an agate to me.

Possibly agatized antlers, agatized petrified wood, or agatized coral.

I'm leaning toward antlers.

It's not really petrified wood. It's like a branch was used to make a mold. the branch is completely gone, and the resulting cavity filled with supersaturated hot water. Supersaturated with microscopic quartz. The quartz can be left behind and eventually fill up the cavity. The formation is similar to opal. the colors are related to impurities in the quartz.


Is that translucent? If you put a flashlight up agains the polished end, does the light travel through the material in the center?

Yeah light definitely travels through it not like clear glass but it does penetrate ene to end .
