Claudia Jaqueline Sandoval, 43, from El Progreso, Honduras, was walking toward Tapachula with her 6-year-old daughter. Another son and a daughter are already in the United States.

"I have been HIV positive for 16 years," said Sandoval, but her reason for going north was not just medical treatment. "It has been two years since I heard from my son" in the United States, and money is scarce, she said.

A group of several hundred Cuban, African and Central American migrants have been waiting at the immigration offices in Tapachula for documents that would allow them to travel to the U.S. border, where most plan to request asylum.

Some members of that group have scuffled with immigration authorities and broken windows at the offices in recent days, accusing officials of making them wait too long for papers.


We're at war. The problem is that so many Americans don't realize it yet, because it's a different kind of attack on our country, one of mass invasion (funded and organized by interests hostile to the United States and Western Civilization) coming in under the guise of "immigration" or "seeking asylum". Eventually and inevitably this swell of foreigners will be numerous enough and gain enough political power (which is already well underway) to undermine our national customs and identity along with the sense of unity and loyalty to this nation, and America (just as is happening in Europe) will be buried without firing a shot. And ironically, all the problems these people claim to be fleeing will be brought here with them. Every. Single. One.

Fake political correctness and virtue signaling by the left that are hell bent in putting foreigners interest before Americans doesn't help either, why do the libtard hypocrites don't want to shelter the fake refugees in their cities if they are so good as they claim? Makes you think... eh?

I wonder if the democrats would care about the immigration issue if it was found out that Russia was funding it?

If asylum seekers request asylum does that mean they automatically get asylum , surely the problem is those who who don't request asylum but enter illegally.

Seems to me the politics of fear is alive and well in the US.

I was only half joking. Someone is funding it, and it certainly appears it's purpose is to further the divide. But for some reason, the left is trying to justify why illegal immigration is better than legal immigration. I never claimed to be a smart guy, but to me, that just seems a little off, like they will be seen as being on the wrong side of history.

But to me, if the Russians were found to be behind this, and the idiot left still cling to their narrative, the irony would be so epic in nature, it could be bottled and served for years to come.

close. The problem seems to be that we have idiotic asylum laws in the first place. Remove those, and the loophole of not being arrested for entering illegally will be closed and fixed correctly.

my house is pretty bad ass as well, I'm just trying to watch that my country doesn't turn into a sh!t hole nation over run by illegal invaders who have no desire to become Americans, but rather bring the failed ideals that drive them from their sh!t holes in the first place. Being 10 years into being HIV positive while having a child 6 years later speaks to the volumes of care for her children already in the U.S.. Is she upset over the missing children or missing money flow here?

The problem is those who do not meet the requirements for Asylum but come over anyway claim it and use loop holes to set foot into the US to get released and never show back up in front of a judge and disappear into our country to leech off our system.

Seems to me the Ignorant opinions of foreigners toward a problem of the United States is alive and well on ATS.
