Hi all, Mods please move to a more appropriate forum if necessary, I wasn't sure where to put this.

I was just having a look-see on aircraft tracker Flightradar24 and noticed an aircraft which was highlighted in red instead of the usual yellow. I'm on iPhone iOS.

It originated from Brussels and is currently circling between Bicester and Oakley, Northwest of London.

Aircraft is a Gulfstream V, see this Wiki Page for details.

Wiki Page for rendition aircraft, see tab marked N379P.

From the second link;

N379P was a tailnumber assigned to a Gulfstream V executive jet. The aircraft has been reported in several press sources as a U.S. Department of Defense prisoner transport, also known as "Guantánamo Bay Express".

The craft has been reported to being used to transport suspected terrorists to undisclosed locations for either extraordinary rendition or into the CIA prison system. It has been the subject of criminal complaints[3] and parliamentary inquiries.

Is that perhaps Assang's ride to the US?

Sorry there's not much to this post, I'm on mobile and trying to be as fast as I can in case it disappears,

I hope it has a fighter escort on the way to the US.

IF it's a rendition aircraft, he's not headed to the USofA...he'll be going somewhere like SA or Egypt.

Assange is too high profile. He's going to be getting a show trial. Not disappeared.

Looks like we're charging him with assisting into the intrusion of a US gov computer.

Assange is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties.
Justice.gov

Edit: Seems like a lot of effort for what the conviction could carry.

Edit #2: Odd considering Reality Winner got 63 months for disclosing an internal NSA document alleging attempts on to voter machines. She knew this information wasn't passed onto the states named, so she wanted them to tighten security. The Intercept

He has been indicted by the Federal District of Eastern VA. He will be tried there most likely.

Faces a maximum of 5 years in prison.

Like I said. He's high profile. He's going to be given the celebrity treatment.

He always has. He isn't a US citizen and to my knowledge never committed the crimes in question on US soil. The fact we are extraditing him for calling out the US foreign policy seems to give more validity to his quarrel with our mindset we can do what we want where we want.

Cheers Augustus, I was just scrambling to get the laptop on and upload a shot, lol

I clearly have no idea if this is anything to do with Assange, truth be told my first thoughts were politicians and diplomats doing brexit stuff, it was only when I googled the aircraft type and was directed to the rendition flights Wiki that I put two and two together.

Whether I'll stick at four or jump to five in conclusion of my shady maths, maybe we'll never know.

It could be, or it could just be someone that doesn't want the aircraft information displayed. The G-V has been in service over 20 years, with almost 200 built.

So I wonder if that means that the keys to his insurance file will finally go out.

Let's see.

Or maybe we are finally getting transparency in government?

Trump supported WikiLeaks many times publicy... I think there's more to this than meets the eye.

My bet is his admin will treat whistle blowers the same as Obama's.

Manning is in solitary confinement at the moment and has been for weeks. Manning served her time and gave her testimony... She got called to a grand jury looking into Assange and refused to participate. They could just use the original testimony since she has since did her time.

A lot of the aircraft that I track have the details hidden, so I just wonder why the red colored icon in this case.

The aircraft has landed at Luton Airport,

Red usually indicates a transponder code. He probably was either a 7600 or 7700 code. That would explain the circling too, if he was burning fuel.

You can see it did numerous holding circles when I took the capture.

Yet in 2010, trump said wikileaks was disgraceful and suggested a possible death penalty. Trump is going to do what makes him look good and that may be supporting assange getting a hard sentence.

Well have to wait and see but it will surely be some hypocrisy if trump comes out against assange.

He might be a valuable "Drain the Swamp" asset. Might even get a pardon in time.

Hmmm circling to burn fuel...or circling waiting permission to land?
