I copy text which is say 11 or 12 point but when I paste it, it comes out size 5 or 2. This happens when I copy and paste from the net and some times within applications.

I run Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) OS Build 6.1.7601. .NET Framework Versions 2.0.50727.5420, 3.0.30729.5420, 3.5.30729.5420, 4.0.0.0, 4.7.03062,
Default Internet Browser Opera
Current Clock Speed 2800 MHz
Graphics Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Intel64 Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7

Thanks for all help

What app are you pasting to? What program are you copying the text into? Is it just notepad or word or something else?

First paste it into Notepad. Then select it and copy it into the clipboard again from Notepad. This should fix your problem.

Wait ,
What ?
No drivers installed for your video card ?
Default Windows driver ?
Probably not part of your issue...
Could be though

Normally if you select text it just copies the text with no formatting information so whatever the target documents defaults are.

If you are pasting into word you will want to look at the pasting options. There's one option that's text only.

Try that.

Try highlighting all of the text that is the wrong size.
Then while the text is highlighted , choose a different
font size. All of the highlighted text should automatically
change to the new font size.

If you copy text from a browser and paste it into Word then the default action is "paste as HTML", so you will get the formatting from the web page you copied the text from into the Word document. Usually, web pages formatting is different from the formatting for printed documents, the ones Word was made to work with, so the text will look different.

On Word, the paste button has a small down arrow. Click it and choose the "paste special" option and from there choose the "unformatted text" (or something like that, I'm using the Portuguese version of Word) option.

Thanks - But up and until a few weeks ago I never had this problem.
