What the hell?!?! Seriously??

Your link was that victims of Assange's alleged sex crimes want the cases re-opened. So that's good. He can clear his name in sweden if he's innocent and then sort out any issues in the US. He is innocent, isn't he?

We know (and contrary to myth) that if Assage goes to Sweden then he'll not be extradited from Sweden, as he'll have to rutun to the UK for that to happen. Then he can spend a few years in the UK running through the US extradition. He'll be OK. Living in the luxury of the legal system will probably make him more comfortable than most Britons who have to work for a living.

Although I don’t wish jail on people, this guy is one selfish, hypocritical, and ungrateful bloke... He actually sued Ecuador for all their help to him and refused to abide by their restrictions. He indulged in the proverbial, “want his cake and eat it too” and like a big baby wanted everything his way.

He should have left when Obama was president since the Obama administration decided NOT to indict him because then they would have to indict the other news outlets who printed his revelations. I would guess the Trump administration won’t be as easy on him. Trump, either out of senility or his typical ungraciousness, claims he doesn’t even remember him! Oh well, it’s fitting justice the guy he supported and aided to win should be the one who double-crosses him and puts him away.

Not to mention he might have committed rape. One alleged victim's lawyer in Sweedon says she will pursue him.

IMO, he will serve at least half of his sentence in a UK prison and if Swedish prosecutors reopen the case there and request extradition then a UK court will decide where he will be extradited, US or Sweden. My guess is Sweden and will possibly do time there also if found guilty before being extradited again, this time to the US.

Assange has done nothing wrong. Those of you calling for his head should be ashamed.

All for made up charges because he is the Enemy of the State.
I am sure justice used to be blind, I just can't remember when.

If the charges are frivolous and there is no evidence of sexual assault in Sweden then he will get found to be innocent. That doesn't mean the other charges disappear.

Well, he broke the law in the UK by skipping bail. He may have broken the law in Sweden, but those rape allegtions were never tested as he timed them out. The US can then work out if he broke laws there - should there be a successful extradition attempt, which is not gauarnteed. Then, I suppose his visa in the UK has expired, but I guess that's the least of his worries.

Throw the book at him. I have no sympathy for people who illegally leak classified information. He's not a "whistleblower." Whistleblowers expose wrongdoing. He indiscriminately leaked anything he could get his hands on, including information that put people's lives at risk. That's not protected by whistleblower laws. # this scumbag.

Proof he did this?

The skipping bail charge is related to the bogus sexual assault charge.
His 'skipping bail' was actually him obtaining asylum in the Ecuador embassy to evade the criminal US Govt.

If you are out on bail and the US Govt is trying to kidnap you and possibly murder you, taking refuge from that should not be considered a crime.

read the charges for Christ sakes.....it's there in black and white.....unlike trump, the rest of us should read up on what is factual and what is not....it's one thing to have an open mind, it's quite another to have it so open that your brains fall out.

If Trump is actually behind this arrest of Assange through pressuring the UK and Ecuador govt's then I am totally against what he is doing - and it would actually be a REAL example of attacking the free press (as opposed to the made up BS examples that have been spouted by the likes of CNN).

Unless maybe Trump is planning on using him to expose lots of other things, then pardon him.

Seriously? I guess we can throw out the charges against those Russians Mueller filed then. Not US citizens, weren't on US soil when they committed the alleged crimes.

Yeppers...

That's not how the law works bro.

Ummm... yes, it is. It is a little thing called jurisdiction.

Sounds like you have not read the charges or the defence to those charges yourself.

Let me summarise for you.

A journalist exposes the US Govt.
They don't like it one bit and set about getting that journalist.
A bogus rape accusation crops up...journalist arrested but gets free on bail.
Journalist hides from the criminal US Govt by seeking asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy
Rape case is dropped.
Senior US officials and media talking heads talk about killing the journalist.
Journalist stays in hiding.

He's done nothing wrong at all apart from seeking asylum to save himself from crazy Americans.

Exactly! He's just a nasty arrogant sociopath. Had he gone religious he'd be leading a death cult ..... He doesn't care about anyone but himself - and cannot accept that anything he says or does is wrong, regardless of the (deadly) consequences for others.

And you are basing this on knowing him personally for how many years?

Riiiiiight...

That maybe so but he still skipped bail and that has consequences as he has now found out. But until a Swedish court hears the sexual assault case then you or I can't be certain it was a bogus charge. Unless you have access to information that confirms it is bogus?

Refer to this post.

Jurisdiction doesn't always end at your border. It's a lot more complicated than that.
