It is a rant, but as the topic involves pointing out a member of one political side's bullschiff, it is a rant which can only exist on ATS within the Political Mud Pit forum. That both ball spiking from one side and lugubriousness with lashing out to occur from the other side.

If I were Trump - and if this is something that could be done by EO (not sure) - I'd just issue a simple two sentence EO:

The United States of America hereby announces the creation of the Reciprocal Tariff Trade Policy.

From this day forward, any country that imposes any Tariffs on American goods going into their country, will immediately be faced with the exact same Tariff rate on all goods coming into the United States from their country.

If any country wants zero Tariffs on their goods, all they have to do is elimnate Tariffs on our goods going into their country.

It is unfortunate that Japan is coming out against the first free enterprise Potus we’ve had since Reagan being that Japan is one of the few still Capital countries left after the ravages of socialism. Ironically I read in a college class that Japan is so protectionist that their citizens are willing to pay higher prices to keep their manufacturing at home and the citizens buy almost exclusively their own product. That's hilarious. How does applying tariff's on Canada provide better leverage for the US? The US already had leverage. Further, who benefited from the Soy Bean tariff with China?

One of my biggest fascinations is how cherrypicking people can be from the right. You just pick and choose which arguments to get outraged on. If Obama had done a tenth of what Trump had done, Fox News would have actually needed Obamacare.

It's difficult to encapsulate all of the issues with Trump, Oligarch Manipulation, complacency within the GOP and the fact that Trump is still guilty of crimes from before his Presidency. His Judge sister resigned to prevent an investigation into her taxes and Trump is threatening his own companies with lawsuits if they comply with Congressional subpoenas. How do explain that?

Gerrymandering and Troll Farm purchasing is the only reason that you have an audience that thinks that is a valid point.
