There was a boat that overturned 20 miles or so away on Acton Lake. That might have been it.

I'm the boat with the folks that don't understand the need for firing a gun, I'm second amendment friendly but you have either got to be old or scared of dogs. Yelling at them, (especially a blood hound) would have been enough unless you were panicky or the dog was vicious not just "aggressive".

I love animals but a boot to the head will set an aggressive dog straight. Your story doesn't add up in my mind.
