The entire article failed to even try and find a root cause beyond one sentence that mentioned under-employment. It also compares white nationalists to ISIS, but those same nationalists did not start a caliphate.


It could be fear of losing ones identity? But when one demonizes all white men, what do you expect? Even now, young boys are being emasculated in schools...being shamed for being boys.

Pretty sure he had a big part in naming the course. And how do you know he is not claiming such? Do you know who wrote the syllubus for the course?

From my experience, all professors write their own syllubus. But now that you mention it, considering the 600% rise in all white nationalist anger as per Twitter posts, with women quickly rising to half of that, he should also create a new course to delve into why women are joining the hate ranks too.

"Humanities - Angry White Male Studies"

That sounds pretty general to me. And I did not skim over anything, but, using one incident of sexual frustration to paint all Angry White Males is not generalizing?

I could have used a better phrase than "all these women" for sure. I would rather put it towards anyone who sees all white males as angry.

Anyway, I would have to sit in on the course, but I would bet it will be a one-sided affair of how whites are just scared of losing power...which could be...and probably is true.

I can imagine that there would not be any real angry white dudes in the audience that would be allowed to refute the course content. And that is the problem....not being able to have a quality discussion.

Actually, the course seems to be about the historical rise in angry white males, which if you notice the article I posted, is rising substantially every year online (Twitter) and with women joining in now.

Again, conjecture, as you would have to sit in on his class and do the 'angry white dude' dance to see what results, now wouldn't you?

Which is why nearly every post I have written in this thread has stated that I would like to sit in to see what it is actually about.

And is there an opportunity for someone to refute anything that the professor may bring up. In other words is it a preaching too or a discourse? Enquiring minds want to know.

No, he is showing historical evidence and modern evidence as to why some white men are angry, anyway that is my take on it and let's wait to see if Lake can get a copy of the course outline so we can get a better handle on it's content.
