This may be about to get dangerous. Russia and China want footholds in Venezuela. If Guaido is swept away one or both will get them. The USA has said that they will get militarily involved if the need be. Anyone worried yet?

can’t find anything more than unconfirmed tweets that say he has been arrested already. If so he may never be seen again.

Anyone got a good source on an arrest?

Juan Guaido, President of National Assembly and self-proclaimed interim president waves to the gallery during a session of the National Assembly in Caracas, Venezuela, Tuesday, April 2, 2019.[/

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- Lawmakers loyal to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stripped Juan Guaido of immunity Tuesday, paving the way for the opposition leader's prosecution and potential arrest for supposedly violating the constitution when he declared himself interim president.[/

I can't get worried about it because there's nothing any of us can do about it.

What's happening down there sucks for the people.

That's a given.

I can HOPE that the US doesn't get involved. I can HOPE that the people there will fight for their own independence.

I can HOPE that I will wake up tomorrow and be an underwear model for Stud-Muffins.com.

I think my chances for modeling are better than anything else.

FYI: His name is spelled "GUAIDO"

Looks like his arrest may indeed be imminent

According to: www.newsday.com...

But for right now, all news outlets are saying that it could come at any moment.

They've banned him from holding office for 15 years.

I don't think he'll be arrested...

which means the CIA will probably kill him.

It looks like he is still free and ready to fight. His Verified Twitter:

The USA of course...

the wealthy USA that is.

I don't like their tactics, but it is what it is I guess.

At this point, the best use for their Venezuelan asset is to take him out and blame it on Maduro.

If you been on this forum long enough, you'll know obviously no. There is one country the CIA can't mess with and it is China. It is guarantee execution unless they were actually hunting Drug lords, nazi's or mad scientists. Which I highly doubt they are right now. CIA doesn't have the best interest on the Asian community. Even British spies does a reasonable better job than CIA since Cold War.

This was almost inevitable. All we can do is watch as Venezuela descends further into tyranny.

Truthfully, it's because there aren't very many asian americans eligible for the job statistically and it's pretty obvious when a crooked asian is in the room with all Chinese. He's suspect from the start. That situation is unique because of ethnicity and culture. It's not easy to be a western spy in China by default. Maybe an insider but not an outsider.

Edit: They carry out their death sentences fairly quickly with little publicity too. They did a British guy a few years ago only a year after he was found guilty. They've got a Canadian guilty of drug trafficking sentenced right now and with the political spat he's toast. Imagine your last moments as a citizen of a western country being led in shackles to an undisclosed location by Chinese, then strapped to a gurney and lethally injected. No witnesses other than Government officials unlike in the U.S.
