What a better plan to take away some of those "fringe" elements...

1. Bolster the white supremacy image by backing down on a alleged hate crime. He's said it already.

2. Steal some of the momentum from the extremist socialist leftists by crying foul on the charges being dropped. Then letting the original crime stand.

3. Turn your back on the race and sexual orientation debate in order to refocus your party. And, in the same breath get to run on a platform of equality and acceptance.

You know, I think the exact opposite has started to happen. The Democrats are beginning to realize that Soros might not be their ally after all, and they're afraid of him...just because of all the anarchy he's funded. They now realize he may destroy them too. They'll take his money (for now), but they're going to keep their party by rebranding it.

They're playing both sides of the middle, and pitting both ends against the middle.

That’s entirely possible as well. It’s weird...I’m not used to them getting so many losses in the court of public opinion. Hard to get pulse on it.

It is plausible. I just don't understand how these corrupt politicians think in such long term and manipulative manner. I guess that is why I work for a living.

I think Rahm's chances to run for President were shot with the LaQuan McDonald case and subsequent fiasco.

I think people forget Obama is pure Chicago, starting there as a “community organizer”. From the olden days of honest journalism, when you could trust 95% of the major news outlets and big newspapers, I’m pretty sure you organize nothing in Chicago without greasing palms and vice versa.

It could very well be true. Political setups are common occurrences. But I cannot say if it is the case in this particular instance.

Chicago is far from the murder capital of the universe. In fact homicide rates have been going down the last two years and major crime has been going down in l.a., Chicago and New York. We have a long way to go but we are headed in the right direction.

You saw the news, RAND ran war game simulations with a Russia/China theater war. Didn't go so well for the blues. We need to boost our defense spending and in a hurry. No I don't buy into the hype, but if there is even a 0.01% chance the report is accurate then we need to reduce it back to 0.00%

Anyhow, the women of MAGA are already in command/leadership roles and I suspect they will become even more prominent - if not in 2020 (we have a POTUS/VP ticket already) then 2022 and 2024 especially

If Tulsi were to run, I would consider a non-MAGA vote. And although I'd never willingly vote for Biden, it would be nice to see the Dem party regain some of the decency it has carelessly thrown away over the last couple years

And I am not sure if you checked lately, but our population % is still 60-70 something percent. But who cares? Every single Black, Hispanic, etc voter does not vote the same way (as evidenced by the MAGA movement, lots of Black and Hispanic voters in MAGA). Every single White voter doesn't vote the same either.

At the end of the day we are Americans and trying to drive a wedge between us using identity politics and other Hegelian tactics will not be successful. And perhaps you should examine your policies a little closer or listen to those constituents you discard as "minorities" - issues such as illegal immigration, prominently, does not go over well with Black voters as just one of many examples.

Thing about nationalism is we judge you by your allegiance to our Constitution and nation, not arbitrary wedge issues like the color of your skin. We have one culture here: plain old American. We as a nation have worked hard to build this culture, and things like race and other arbitrary designations do not determine who someone is as a person.

The party of Lincoln (the Republicans - who destroyed slave owning Southern Democrat secessionists) has historically never allowed the color of a man's skin to define him

THEN...in an absolutely mind blowing turn of events 5 weeks later the DA, out of the blue, drops the charges against the rat.

Emanuel reacts immediately, it's a "whitewash", he says. He's right, it was, but not a 'whitewash' of Smollet, rather the beginnings of a cleansing and 'whitewash' of Emanuel himself.

By standing up against the 'system' he distances himself from the City of Chicago and their 'apparent' corruption. He looks like the good guy, right?

Next thing you know he'll be doing press releases about how he stood up to the corruption in Chicago, how he tried to stop it...but then he couldn't take it anymore and got out. He called them all out on racism, corruption, sexual orientation and hate! Just wait.

And remember, the actual "District Attorney", Foxx recused herself from the Smollet case. So this leaves the deputy DA to take the fall.

#1 He is a white male, which means he will not win the Democratic nomination

#2 If he was pandering for Democratic votes, he would be declaring Jussies innocence - because that is what lefties want to believe.

#3 Michelle does not need him - She would lead the ticket if she had any interest

I also found crooked Rahm's shock and awe about this situation highly suspicious.

This does not fit his pattern of behavior during the Obama years.

Whatever it is he thinks he is pulling, it is going to fail.
