Rahm Emanuel almost certainly has his sights set on running for President. In two months, he will step down as the Mayor of Chicago.

Emanuel also has a problem. He's sitting on the murder capital of the Universe, and he's the Mayor of the most corrupt City government on virtually planet Earth. This is a pretty dark cloud to be hanging over a potential presidential candidate, and a pretty big hole to dig yourself out of politically to garner enough credibility with the people to vote his way.

Enter the Smollet debacle...

Some Trump hating hollyweird rat decides to get himself beat up by some thugs spouting MAGA stuff and put a noose around a black man's neck in the process...and it's all a hoax. The MSM goes crazy with the story, plastering it all over every headline from here to Mars. Planet Earth is now aware of the story. Then, the rat gets busted, and the legal machine has proof sixteen ways from Sunday it was a hoax with a series of felony charges. A Grand Jury is convened and they further confirm the hoax. Charges are filed. The MSM goes crazy again. The rat's network, FOX, refuses to fire him...and the MSM goes crazy yet again.

THEN...in an absolutely mind blowing turn of events 5 weeks later the DA, out of the blue, drops the charges against the rat.

Emanuel reacts immediately, it's a "whitewash", he says. He's right, it was, but not a 'whitewash' of Smollet, rather the beginnings of a cleansing and 'whitewash' of Emanuel himself.

By standing up against the 'system' he distances himself from the City of Chicago and their 'apparent' corruption. He looks like the good guy, right?

Next thing you know he'll be doing press releases about how he stood up to the corruption in Chicago, how he tried to stop it...but then he couldn't take it anymore and got out. He called them all out on racism, corruption, sexual orientation and hate! Just wait.

And remember, the actual "District Attorney", Foxx recused herself from the Smollet case. So this leaves the deputy DA to take the fall.

Behind the scenes, behind the proverbial "curtain", what you didn't see was likely one of the Obama's or someone at their behest stepping in to force the acting DA to drop the charges...and the plan all along was to have Emanuel stand up and scream "FOUL!!" The deputy DA goes down in flames, the DA escapes the axe...and Emanuel and the Obama's go have dinner and talk about their presidential election campaign going forward.

Please, please, PLEASE...tell me this isn't true!! PLEASE!

PS - **Shudder** And even scarier still is the notion of a Emanuel / (Michelle) Obama ticket!!

He might not be able to get enough votes, but what he can't pick up Michelle Obama most likely could.

Foxx recused herself, but not really.

But I dont think this is just for a bid to run

It's just injustice and a slap in the face to real victims of this sort of crime. Its like spitting in the face of the law and people whom actually suffered these sort of conflicts.

I'm saddened that people are actually applauding this dismissal .

I hope this goes higher.

But I dont think fox would risk one of their top network intellectual property in exchange for some corrupt mayor to run...then again..this is America, more have been wagered on less risky propositions...

It's possible. The American people voted for trump and hillary... The American people have proved they are willing to look past the terrible negatives of a candidate to make sure their party wins. All you gotta have is a catchy slogan (maga) or a vagina.

The presidential election is a joke.

Well, now it doesn't matter to FOX, right?

FOX only had to take it on the chin for 5 weeks, now it's a non-issue because the charges were dropped. No harm, no foul.

It was all planned this way well in advance.

BTW...I completely agree with the rest of your comments.

I don't think it helps him as far as a potus run. It just makes him look incompetent.

Are we factoring in George Soros’s $400k donation to DA Foxx’s super PAC in 2016? His name has to be thrown into the corruptive mix as well.

All the better for Emanuel, right?

It's all about "optics"...so all the easier to unwind Emanuel out of it.

Hence the recusal, right?

That was a massive fireball to dodge.

Oh, you just KNOW this has got Soros fingerprints on it somewhere!

I predict the vagina's will replace the maga's in the next electon. It's the American way to celebrate our freedom.

Murder someone in Chicago, the odds are 72% that you'll never be arrested. The corruption runs from top to bottom.

If Rahm squeals too loudly, Obama will show all of Rahm's dirty laundry.

And the most scary of all to contemplate is...

...the possibility that the whole thing was staged from the very beginning...including the attack which started it all.

An equally disturbing idea is the idea that someone actually thinks a politician from Chicago could possibly become president. Chicago is the pinnacle of government corruption.

Obama became President. Wait until you learn what he did to our law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

No worries. Emanuel has about as much chance of becoming POTUS as me and Cory Booker.

Why would he do that??? He's going to help him get elected!

Him, and possibly his wife too!

He's going to do what Clinton couldn't...and he's just vain enough to go there too.

I kind of think that the democratic powers that be got a little overwhelmed at the rapid rise of socialism from the fringes. It seems like they lost a little bit of their grip on the left and are actively shutting it down. Take AOC for example...her embarrassing Green Deal vote, being forced out of the committee she was responsible for....she’s not the power house some thought she would be.

Soros, himself as been seemingly quiet lately. I could be wrong, but I haven’t seen much out of him. I wonder if he got fed up with democratic politics going haywire and losing control of themselves. So now he’s reaffirming himself and his preferred inner circle. I don’t know...just speculating.
