A Mobile, Alabama, schoolteacher is dead after a 16-year-old illegal alien with an outstanding deportation order allegedly drove across a highway median and hit her vehicle head-on. What are the details? Authorities say Sonya Jones, 49, was driving to work the morning of March 18 when she was hit by Domingo Marcos, who was later caught while trying to flee the scene. Jones did not survive the crash, and Marcos was taken to USA Women's and Children's Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Now, Marcos is in custody, charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. Prosecutors say the suspect is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who was previously arrested in Arizona in 2017 where he requested asylum. In Arizona, Marcos was given a court date and released, but he never showed up for his scheduled hearing. A final deportation order was issued for the teen, but he was on the lam until his collision with Jones.

Obviously this is proof we need to summarily execute all 14 million illegal immigrants working in this country.

I think any immigrant who gets a college degree from a certified college should be given citizenship. We need more educated workers to compete in the World economy. The way things are now in America compared to Europe and Asia is embarrassing.

Well, it was an accident, but you are right, if he was not here she would probably be alive. New drivers do cause a lot of accidents, they are not experienced yet.

He fled from the scene of the accident and failed to show up at a hearing he ws supposed to go to before this happened. He should be sentenced and serve his term and immediately escorted to the border when he gets out. Put him on probabion if he gets paroled early, and part of that agreement should be he never steps foot in America again. If he breaks that, life in prison.

Hard question to answer. Were the Spaniards immigrants as they wiped out about 80 million? How many Native American's were killed by Native Americans in their warlord civilizations? Thirdly, if my ancestors came here in the mid 1800s does that make me an immigrant today?

I think you need to get to your real point in your question... One thing I do know that if every illegal that has killed someone in the US were not here they would not have killed...

When have you been to Europe last? I was there between 1985 and 1998 and then on long trips and to visit family in 2003, 2005, 2009ish, 2014 or so and 2017 off the top of my head. And one thing I noticed was the more time went on, the dirtier the streets were, the more random crimes I read about, and the more the people looked sullen and closed in. What had changed you might ask?

I grew up preferring Europe to the States in absolutely every way. Not any more!

Checks and balances. Throughout the history of the u.s. Americans have had a love hate relationship with immigrants whether they be legal or illegal. Efforts and laws were passed in order to appease the needs of our country and also the bigotry towards new arrivals. At this point we are again at the point that we need to check the waves of immigration in order to balance our country and keep our values, morals and culture "American".
