The stock market is about to plunge thanks to Donald Trump's trade policies. Thanks to (bankrupt 4 times) successful billionaire Donald Trump. Hopefully he doesn't bankrupt the US with his brilliant successful billionaire tactics. The sad part is Trump will remain unaffected by our economy once he's out of the presidency he'll write a book and his faithful followers will buy it up and pay big money to watch him speak keeping him rich while we suffer.

Interesting.

Not since the early 1960’s, when the Soviet Union attempted to establish a nuclear missile base in Cuba, has Russia had a military base in the Western Hemisphere.

In fact it was once US policy that Russia/USSR would never be allowed to establish any kind of “foothold” in the Western Hemisphere.

JFK went as far as risking a nuclear war to enforce that policy. The US was a much more imposing force on the global stage back then, and fortunately, the Soviets backed down.

But that was before...the current administration.

And the cultural sensibilities that enabled it.

That continue to enable it.

And the fallout (I use that term in only the figurative sense, hopefully) that will ensue.
