Aptitude For Magic?

I know we have a few dwellers here who are real Arcane users, which is why I would like to ask for advice in terms of Magic and I'm not talking about silly false magic. I mean the magic that transcends the formation and foundation stones of our world, the magic that can actually reshape the world and help humanity.

If you are who I suspect you are then I have one phrase for you "Vita Arcana" or is it "Vita Arcanum", I don't know what it means all I know is that I was given this word/phrase by one myth and legends speak of as M.

I want to learn and move forward because this world is in a state to which there has to be someone willing to act and to shake the foundations of the Earth.

or... Maybe I am going slowly insane and this is all in my head?

I have experienced things that I could almost associate with magic or some sort of interaction with unknown entities. I won't discount anything anymore, but still everything can be explained if we get out of the normal human mindset we were convinced is the only real that exists. Does real magic exist? I do not know, there are magicians out there that deceive our senses but I think that more is going on if you dig deeper sometimes.

Magicians understand secret knowledge. If you want to understand what is wrong with the World study the psychology of people in power. Two books I would recommend is Powerholders and Power and Technology by David Kipnis. To understand the Shadow Magician Archetype and how Shadow Magicians rule the World with evil then I would recommend the book, King, Warrior, Magician, Lover by Moore and Gillette. To understand what is going on in politics you need to study propaganda techniques. I would recommend you study the works of Edward Bernays, Gustave Le Bon, and Jacques Ellul. The scary thing about propaganda is it programs people's minds so they think they are thinking for themselves from their own conclusions when in fact they are just regurgitating propaganda positions.

OP, I believe in Magic. It is real it seems. I have not delved into any of it yet because I fear of opening a door I cannot close possibly. I am what you would call an armchair occultist? For those who do not know, Occultism is just the study of the hidden forces and laws of nature. Nothing about it is inherently "evil".

1 st hand account from me... All i did was read a book "a treaties on angel magic" it real enough i had two bad entities visit one woke me up jumping on my back and another like a body length slug wrapped around me and squeeze while i was fully awake, After falling asleep again i had what i found out later was an Angelic seal flash before my eyes and then a large massive presence very HOLY large and powerful if i were to describe it visit me Angels are REAL and an experience like that completely changes a humans perspective in this case mine...

Magic is not the right word more like opening a door to an ancient parallel world where there's both good and bad and the bad bite you don't mess!! stick to more traditional methods of personal growth regardless you have to do the personal growth learning, there is no hack Karma is Karma and it is un corruptable....

I believe it to be real though not in the sense most humans would conjure upon hearing the phrase.

I studied Hermetic Qabala and Western Occultism by correspondence through an order for just under a year. Only stopped after becoming a father and no longer having the required time and energy my studies deserved.

I had some very profound experiences.

lol almost forgot, I left you a message april last year.

So my biggest experience in terms of things magical was experiencing the void, the darkness that dwells between worlds and in death. It contains many old beings or better yet what I would identify as Gods of Old, after floating through it I came upon a platform which then became only what I could describe as a maze, the walls were black, sharp and rugged. I assume that they were made of obsidian and when I made it to the center of the maze, I saw a small light from what I can only presume was the ceiling of this place. The light was illuminating this giant black pyramid in the middle and around the pyramid were thrones and upon them set giant beings, they were the Gods of old.

My mind began to wonder:
Why are they chained?
Who chained them?
Were they the God of Old truly?

Then I came to a partial understanding that there must have been a God much stronger than them, one that became a God above all other Gods. Maybe this is what the God we know of today that says "I AM" did...

Maybe the only reason this God became who it or he is, because it or he defeated all these Gods and claimed the Godhood.

My mind constantly dwells on these thoughts!

My studies and reading lead me to believe that the “old Gods” are what is termed (can’t remember the author and book to attribute this to) ‘creations of the created’.

In short that the pagan Gods were created by humans who assigned them specific traits and powers which however, does not make them any less real.

Throughout the course of tens and thousands of years these Gods had energy/attributions poured in to them by humans throughout history creating an energy reservoir of traits specific to that god which could then be channeled/requested.

In my opinion there is only one true God with a number of emanations.

See this is what is really interesting, because if they had such energy given to them over thousands of years in turn that energy can gain real form.

Who is to say they are not actual beings?

If you think about it we could have Old Gods walking here on Earth in lesser forms or same forms but acting human to fit in...

Exactly.

I don't think I articulated as I meant to that, although these "old Gods" may be creations of the created, they are still a real entity due to the energy and attributes that have been poured in to them by humans over the milennia.

I would question the power they have retained since the advent of modern religion - with far less followers feeding that energy in to them does it dissipate over time?

Whilst your last point is a possibility I think more of them as energy deposits somewhere in the aether but I am the first to admit, I am definitely not the authority on the subject!

Hollywood keeps them alive, Thor, Batman, Superman etc, so maybe the creations of the created influence the created. Theses creations may also be be able to inhibit or control the created insidiously through influencing the created to invoke them.
