This person obviously has personal problem's and is a very angry person unwilling to tolerate other's point of view which may indicate a level of immaturity and insecurity as well.

To be fair though when I tried to explain to WanderingMrM and was in no way talking to this individual I did put some pretty personal fact's - from personal experience - up there so as to give a level of meaning to my word's and to let the thread author know that I was coming at it from a personal perspective, sometime's though when you make such subjective experiences visible to others indirectly they will take exception and try to make them out to be fantasy or the product of a faulty mind so I was fully aware of that reaction and ready for it.

Maroboduus an interesting and very 'particular' choice of avatar was a minor king whom once led an alliance of ethnic Germanic tribes (believed by some scholars though not universally to have been the first such alliance) and though far from a great success was recognized by Rome and became a vassal king paying them tribute after refusing to ally with Amenius/Arminius during his revolt against Rome that resulted in the teutoburg forest massacre (an episode that was so ingrained in the roman psyche after the complete loss of three of there best legion's due to the stupid tactic of marching them through a forest in narrow file that Senators would often stand up in rage during ANY and ALL debates were it was not going there way and proclaim "Quintus Varus give me back my legion's" - Quintus Varus
was the unfortunate roman general whose tactical error in marching in narrow column's through the forest led to the ambush were Armenius whom had served in the Roman army and was fully aware of there tactic's knew how to ambush them in such a way as to crippled there ability to form a shield wall or tortoise formation.

Marboduss from the little we know of him today like Armenius was schooled in Rome but unlike Armenius he was actually schooled while Armenius was a simple solider so his schooling was to serve in the Roman Legion's and Armenius until betraying them (after he had gained Roman Citizenship) since he had delusions' of grandeur thinking himself an Emperor, Armenius was later poisoned by the very tribes he had formed into a coalition to fight the roman's - a coalition that then fell apart from infighting rather than becoming the northern empire Armenius had dreamed of.

Maroboduus was actually of royal lineage - at least as far as that goes in tribal society's and it seem's that Maroboduus more or less sold out his countrymen during Armenius revolt and refused to support Armenius since to do so would likely have weakened his own position over his own tribe making himself and them lower than this new king.

Maroboduus he and his tribe had also migrated to part of what is today Czech territory a region called Silesia and settled making new alliances with the other Germanic tribes in the area whom were already there (how much of that negotiating was friendly given there warrior nature we may never know), after a very short period of strife with Rome he became a vassal king of Rome paying tribute to them but at least in the short term retaining his and his tribes independence - more or less.

So a very strange AND more importantly specific choice of Avatar which offers us a window - albeit rather small - into the psyche of the person - likely male - that chose that name for there avatar as this may be one of there historical idol's and show either a strong Czech of German affinity and/or nationalism though perhaps I am reading a tad too much into such an appraisal, still intriguing.

Still as far as historical non biblical personages are concerned it would not have been my choice and I personally for so very many reason's prefer the Danish English king Canute an actual successful and for his time very powerful king whom tried with little success to show his courtiers that only God is the real king when he told them to carry his throne down to the waves at the shore to prove his point that he could not command the waters not to lap at his feet.

Then add in another tribal part, the choice of avatar, this time meso american either an Inca or Aztec warrior and we have a budding self opinionated self declared historian whom think's he know's a whole lot more than he probably does, so likely angry, diminutive of stature, bespectacled with donut jam and spilled tea stain's on his t'shirt in a mood because his Yorkshire terrier (which has wonky teeth) won't stop humping his leg or something so he has to find somewhere to vent all that anger and the online world get's it in the throat.

Someone has to call out the blatantly fake and blatantly idiotic. That's the stuff that gives this site, and rhe topics it relates to, a bad name. Refusing to make a distinction between the credible and the unambiguously ridiculous/fake makes the site, and the people on it, look like gullible buffoons. It does a disservice to the legitimate topics by discrediting the entire site. Posts like this are the exact reason people mock ATS. If you choose to post on a public website (to say nothing if that post is about your supposed godlike powers), you leave yourself open to criticism. That's part of the deal.

If somebody's active imagination is making you so hateful you should ask yourself serious questions, like why is a stranger triggering my defence mechanisms, I've looked at your threads and your not that active in the thread making department so maybe you should lay off people that actually post things, if there weren't threads like this there would be no ATS, people come here to share their thoughts the crazier the thoughts the more real it is, even if the reality they share only happens in their own heads.

I don't see it as idiotic because I have had similar experiences, but I do not share them very often because I can tell when someone is meant to hear them or not. I do agree with you though that untamed imagination needs to be checked, but in these instances you are ridiculing something you have not experienced. Just because you haven't experienced it does not make it untrue. Premature awakenings happen all the time, and the euphoria experienced often renders people thinking they are Christ. In a sense they are, because it is the Christ awakening in them.

I could go off in elaborate detail about EEG (electroencephalogram) and other biophysical data that shows that these brief sorts of awakenings are experiencing an authentic increase in cerebral energetic frequency if you would want.

A very good argument and I find myself agreeing, I think perhaps later the understanding of the commandment not to use the Lord's name in vein was perhaps taken too far making it into a sin to use his name when the meaning of the commandment is clear - respect it.

yeah, it was a slow process, bit by bit, it got progressively worse until now you have those who even write G-d instead of God because they feel they shouldn't even say God anymore (it's a bit like the behaviour of the scribes and the Pharisees in Jesus' time who broadened their phylacteries, Scripture-containing cases they wore on their foreheads, in order to impress others with their righteousness, to appear more holy, spiritual and righteous to others).

Spot on accurate, you know by your comment already what Jesus said of such men.
Jesus told them to go and sell all they own and give it to the poor then to come and follow him, he also pointed out that his kingdom was not of this earth though the earth and the fullness thereof do belong to God.

The contradiction between Jesus word's and the behaviour of silk robed priests could not be more stark but there are priests in every denomination whom take his word's literally and renounce wealth (not enough of them), whom do as he said.

They perhaps tool the statement "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages" a bit too literally and so built themselves palaces while they took donations from the needy taxing the very poor that Christ said to give there own wealth too.

The closest we have seen in the last century to the way early Christian's lived was the kibbutz model of Israel were the community shared there work, looked after there poor and there sick and raised there children in a good environment but such Christian community's have not existed since before the time of Constantine though they are recorded in the new testament at the time of the apostles.

You will find an apt description of this in the new testament story of Ananias and Sapphira whom essentially tried to lie to the living spirit of God in the Christian community within which they lived in the very presence of one of the apostles.

Basically they lived in a communal style early Christian community and everyone had sold all they own pooling the wealth and giving to the poor but keeping just enough in the communal kitty so that they would have enough should they need it so there was no need for them to keep personal wealth yet when they sold a portion of property they did keep some of the wealth for themselves and then they lied about it directly to the apostle whom was filled with the spirit of God, in other word's they lied directly to God, no one laid a hand upon them they simply fell dead at the apostles feet.

This though remember was the early church, the church has gone very much astray but still we know how it should be even if it is not how it should be - at least the most visible parts of it are not but then remember what Jesus said.
Pray in Secret, Do good work's in secret if possible and do not seek reward on this earth.
So how many Christian's actually do this but because there act's are in secret we do not know about it, only there father in heaven knows.

There are still good priests there reputation dragged through the mud by the bad one's whom have served the devil, there are priests whom gave up all they had, all they could have had and chose chastity, poverty, prayer and service out of love for God and though many lose there faith as they are only human like you and me many of them still try to do good even long after there faith has jaded, some have there faith rekindled or are privy to miracles and sign's, so you can also understand why praying for the priests is so important.

if you are depending on destiny or some forces to lead you to somewhere or something good then good luck but god of earth is not that impressive (as a general statement) you won't get much great but boring sleeps a boring job etc
you should think of reality as a creation and that if someone created something, why let them create your life and decisions when you can ursurp it and create your own stuff
