Yes tjis is what is known as a general briefing, not a defensive one

Both lynch and strzoks testimony claim there was no defensive briefing

So several points

1. Even if this is true, it was in August, a month after the investigation started. Why not tell trump as soon as the fbi suspected Russians of interfering

2. Why did the fbi not tell trump of the specific people they suspected were Russian agents like carter page? Imagine had the fbi just told Feinstein Chinese may try to infiltrate her team but didn’t mention the actual spy in her employ and instead spied in her

3. If you are right, then lynch lied to Congress. So I assume her house will be raided in the middle of the night, and she will be sent to jail for a couple years while trump’s investigative agencies try to get her to turn on people

According to news reports a few months ago, Trump was briefed by the FBI a few weeks after he became the Republican nominee:

Subsequently, he apparently forgot that fact. (I don't know how that could happen, since he says he has a mind like a steel trap):

During the briefing, he was warned that the Russians might try to infiltrate his campaign and that he should report any contacts with them. Of course, that didn't happen either, for some strange reason.

And Obama later stated that no foreign governments had infiltrated anything related to the election after Trump won.

So he dropped that little bomb in order to make himself look innocent, because later it was found that Obama was orchestrating the FISA warrant scams during the entire thing.
