Banned TED talk:

@1:39 I stopped to comment.....he is dead wrong....the Cave Paintings were not done by people whacked out on Shrooms...they were done by a highly Technological People who were DIEING....they were the few Survivors of Noahs Flood or that Event whatever you wish to call it.
I had to note this early error.
@4:56 all he is doing is glorifying Mushroom trips and other hallucinogens....its not all about how he is explaining and selling it.....not at all....taking these drugs doesn't open any new areas of your mind....it distorts your perceptions but doesn't stop your thought process....its like cerebral diarrhea...that you are OK with.

A bad trip scared the hades out of him....eyeawaska or shrooms can do that to you....its called being scared straight and a solid encounter with Tequilia can do the same thing to you.A strong mind converses with and controls the 3rd person perspective hallucinogens give us...you can have a good trip or a bad trip....you can control it or it can control you...simple....but its still just a drug trip.

www.cnn.com...

I am sorry this guy hits a few singles and doubles but he is really off-base on a lot of things....sounds like he is having anxiety problems to me....he has no idea how many lives alcohol has saved....alcohol was the secret medicine/weapon that allowed the Roman Empire to rule the World...……. yes these drugs like Ayahuasca and Shrooms and others will give you a trip and you will build the trip from what happens to already be in your own mind....you will receive no new data or insights or wisdom or anything at all....lol...the drugs will just shake up your internal view-screen like an organic Etch-a-Sketch …………………... www.youtube.com... ……... and you will simply see the same old data in an altered state perspective....different march but the same band.Different polarities will be the catalyst of your cerebral envelope when wasted.

We almost made it 17 hours without a hater coming in.

All I’m going to say is, yours is the only post I didn’t star in this thread.

You’re welcome to your opinion, though.

Additionally, please refrain from the hallucinogen talk. I’d prefer for this thread to not be deleted for a violation of T&C.

I like Graham simply because he has brought to light subject matter that others didn't want to touch or take the time to compile. He takes great leaps sometimes, but the evidence is covered such that you can still make your own conclusions. Look forward to his new book. Thanks.

I am not hating...just objective observations after I followed the link.....that is called participating….and that's the point of the thread....don't label me don't correct me....and don't star me....mind your own business....keep your personal attacks in your backpocket where they belong. The entire linked video is about hallucinogens.

He lit up last year on rogans podcast and has since admitted to dabbling with it again. He quit because of a psychedelic experience that made him realize he was being a jerk and that his over indulgence played a part so he quit cold turkey. He hadn't smoked until Joe Rogan offered him some on his podcast and he said hey why not.

What Hancock is saying is hypothesis just as your survivors of the flood drew the cave drawing is a hypothesis neither of you can prove it so why so insistent that you exposed him?

Can you expand on the alcohol as a Roman secret weapon? This is the first I have heard of this, I have heard of an ancient "flame thrower" technology lost to time is this what you are referring to?

Regardless whether he's right or wrong (or what percentage of each), he's an articulate and entertaining lecturer, and has actually traveled to many of the sites he talks about, getting a first-hand look. Not that armchair investigators can't come up with some good insights, but to actually stand on the dirt where these things are definitely helps his credibility.

I mean, except for Atlantis. Can't stand on that dirt, obviously.

I stand corrected then. I was not aware of this. Good for him!

Thank you for the heads up ... it's difficult finding things to do in AZ that don't involve cows, casinos or poorly named DJs.

It should be entertaining.

Tell me about it brother. I’ve lived in AZ for 6 years. It’s a constant struggle to find cool things to do.

I knew that Graham always makes it to Sedona on his speaking tours. I was a little surprised to see him coming to Tempe. People in this area are usually more interested in selfies and plastic surgery as opposed to ancient civilizations.

Almost as bad down here in Tucson.

I can't help but imagine the next civ digging up skeletal remains with strange double piles of silicon on the chest and extrapolating an arcane ritual of worship, which would be accurate in a sense.

But the herd is always the herd and all we can do is be glad we got a few more neurons so we can be disgusted and feel superior.
