What if extraterrestrial life isn't really as special, divine, or mystical as we think it is? (In our pop culture)

It's possible that one day, several centuries from now (maybe sooner), the human race may be able to travel beyond our solar system as explorers, searching for life.
Using your logic, I guess we could be construed as demonic entities, if we ever landed on a planet inhabited by a less advanced extraterrestrial civilization.

Any civilisation capable of interstellar/galactic travel is special.
And if we go by Clarke their tech would be indistinguishable from magic.
In a real scenario it's not going to be like Archer or any other Star Trek episode.
We'd be nothing more than ants to them.
