Cool. It's the AusBoeing ATS!

Neat system. Curious to know how long a swap out will take and if anything else is evolved besides the nose.

Looks like one of the noses is a possible cockpit..Will they have to update our Tritons to suit or they running both of the developments in parallel?

Its not a cockpit. Its the sapphire windows of a sensor like the EO/IR EOTS/DAS sensors on the F-35.

You can see a size comparison in the first frame. The ATS is being towed by a standard Toyota tug with what appears to be the driver standing up and facing rearwards at some point in the tow. My money is also on it being Amberley, although there are some other locations in QLD or northern NSW that would fit the bill.

Amberley is my bet.Far enough away from prying eyes plus close to Brisbane.Tamworth in NSW would be too open.Iron range and Tindal wouldnt have the infrastructure to support the development..If one lawn darts on the beach near me ill take a tape measure to it..

Is there a difference between a military turbofan and a commercial one or are they both the same?

My thoughts go to commercial, available for anyone to buy, non commercial, mil spec high performance would need government export approval?

Or are the just suggesting it’s a pre existing engine to specific to this airframe?
