She predicted that the planet would face “disaster if we don’t turn this ship around,” claimed there was a “scientific consensus” that “the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” and said that young people were wondering, as a result, “Is it OK to still have children?”

Anyone that believe's AOC's snip, shouldn't reproduce to be blunt.

She scoffed at the idea that “working on an issue for 30 years, alone … makes someone qualified to solve an issue.” She said that people who had proposed more “ambitious solutions” had “not been listened to.”A carbon tax, she said, would not be enough to solve the problem: “If you think that a carbon tax alone, and no other intervention, is going to fix climate change, you’re part of the problem.”We have “one shot,” she said, because “people didn’t try” to solve the problem for decades before. “And now people are dying — in the thousands,” she claimed.

In addition, AOC rejected the idea of evaluating the crisis in Venezuela as a problem with socialism. Instead, she said, it was “kind of an issue of authoritarianism versus democracy.”

Where is she wrong? Science does say we're f***ed and a carbon tax isn't going to fix things. It's funny how she's literally agreeing with what the Right has been saying all along about carbon taxes and you still can't agree with her.

She's also right that a lot of young people aren't having children because of the state of the world. I know that's the reason most of my friends give for not wanting kids.

And she is also right about Venezuela. At least partially. Things seemed to be working fine under Chavez. It wasn't until Maduro took over that things went to s**t.

Ask yourself these questions:

1.) If socialism is always destined to fail why do capitalist countries always go out of their way to shut it down?

2.) If socialism is always destined to fail why does it almost always seem to lead to a higher quality of life when the US doesn't try to limit it?

What I don't understand is why Republicans have not made abortion illegal. Everyone says it is because they do not have the votes in the Senate. But this makes no sense to me because once you have the majority you can change the rules of the Senate at the beginning of the session to require only one simple majority vote instead of 2 votes were one of the votes requires a whopping 60 votes.

Unlike abortion which really gets out the vote, I'm not feeling the same draw out the vote feeling with Green New Deal. We already have enough solar panel boondoggles in New Jersey.

Maybe subsidize the creation of healthier food or something. Better healthcare based on outcomes rather than profit. I don't know. The green new deal is boring to me.

Second. The carbon tax is just ONE TAX in whole list of TAXES.

People aren't having kids because they're still living in their mommas basement.

She isn't right about Venezula.

The only question that needs to be asked is,' Has Cortez or any of her defenders ever read the GD US constitution, or read any green legislation that has existed since the 1950's, and even know that the EPA has existed for over 50 years'.
