R. Kelly charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse

News emerging that R. Kelly has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse , Michael Avenatti says he gave Cook County prosecutors a tape of Kelly having sex with an underage girl.

His attorney, Steven Greenberg, said early Friday afternoon that he had not been notified that his client had been charged. Greenberg has said in the past that his client denies any wrongdoing.

Sources told the Sun-Times that Cook County prosecutors appeared before a judge Friday afternoon to sign off on the warrant for Kelly.

Michael Avenatti, a well known attorney who said he recently provided a videotape of R. Kelly having sex with a minor to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, applauded prosecutors for filing charges. It is unclear if the charges are related to the videotape the attorney provided.

“The day of reckoning has arrived” for R Kelly, Avenatti said in a tweet.

Hopefully, he is not allowed to pay his way out of it this time. I have personal experiences with him (not of the sexual nature) and he is a creep and a half.

I don't know much about R. Kelly, but I know the name Avantti and he is someone who likes to stir up trouble, he probably has dirt on hundreds of movie stars and predominant politicians and it sounds like he is going to squeal on everyone. Good thing I have never met this guy, anyone who knows him is in jeopardy of having their life ruined.

Arguably the most successful R&B singer since the 90s. A brilliant vocalist and songwriter. Most of his songs are baby making music. I'd venture 90% of the black community born after 1992 were conceived with R Kelly playing in the background.

I think his biggest hit was "I believe I can fly..." Surely you've heard / sang this song as it was a major crossover hit unless you truly have been living under a rock.



However, most of his songs are pretty raunchy... classics like:

Feeling on your booty.

Singing the hook on Biggie's love ballad, "I'm *ucking you tonight"

He's that guy from South Park that wouldn't come out of the closet, after he tried to get Tom Cruise to come out, and wouldn't. Even John Travolta tried to help..
