Long before Donald Trump became President, he would describe how leaders of other nations viewed America as a "slot machine that always paid on the first pull of the handle". In other words, International leeches see U.S. leaders as gullible fools.

Yes I know that has been done
in the past . Humanity is guilty.

By this you imply that U.S. Aid was
created solely for conquest.

I will admit that I may be so naive
to differ.

I truly believe that some members wished
to raise humanity from starvation and destitution.
I respect your reply.

There's an old formula for exploiting an inferior indigenous population. It goes like this:

After you discover them, you send in the missionaries. People preaching peace and love and bringing food and medicine. This sounds great to the people back home.

Next, you have to bring in the military to protect the missionaries. Those ungrateful savages are attacking those selfless people who are only trying to help.

Things happen. There's a revolt against the old leadership. The new leadership is very "business friendly", and eventually everything is A-OK with this formerly backward nation. They even have a central bank to facilitate selling their natural resources for fiat currency.

That will be a bedtime story in the not too distant future.

Nicely articulated.

He is correct.

But then again,
U.S. gullible fools
will be the first to
show up at the next
quake of disaster,
and provide Food/Med
supplies to those victims.
Praise God Almighty.

Sending food and medical supplies is good. It's the cash that gets squandered.

In the past I have done research on US AID, it is not a pretty picture what so ever. There is NO oversight of this government funded organization. With this lack of oversight, corruption abounds. Since this is a conspiracy based site, I will just rattle off some of the connections The (supposed) White Helmets, Haiti and the Clinton Foundation, and Joseph Kony. The connection to the White Helmets is also through a former mercenary that worked for MI6 through the netherlands, and is based out of Turkey, not Syria, and is not the original foundation of the White Helmets name. They provided aid and support for Kony through financial aid and gave the excuse that the funds provided were usurped. In Haiti they supported the abduction of children with Laura Silsby as the head of the organization there Those are just the ones off the top of my head, and with an organization that is given free reign and has no direct government oversight, corruption and deception abound.

I would miss the U.S very much should it fail, however I don't think it will that easily, the people are born from change and will rise if the occasion warrants it, the society may be broken but don't underestimate the sheer will of the people, Americans are resilient.

I've never really been a big fan of the USA's foreign aid policies.

It's a smack to the face of every homeless person, hungry child, unassisted veteran, and struggling American citizen.

Absolutely! I've been saying that for years. If we can't take care of our own, how can we take care of anyone else?

I believe in strong U.S. Aid to developing countries.
With restrictions,verification,and validation.

I would strongly urge the more investigative members
here to do some research and follow the money
regarding the recent activity (past 10 years) of the
behavior and money transfers that occurred.

This Agency was created under the guise of
freedom,democracy, and "The American Way".

Something else happened, along the way.
Corruption ruins everything.
Current Administration should clean this up and recap losses.

Read the book "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins.

You will then understand whats happened to Venezuela.

I have read that book.
I understand hegemony.
It occurs worldwide.
By China , Russia, Saudis, U.K. EU,U.S. on and on etc.

I admire the authors honesty of the time period,
yet I believe that The Unites States
must maintain a footing in the Western Hemisphere
as a balance. Venezuela included.

Clearly, there could be a better way of going about it.
A better deal. A Win Win instead of a Win Lose.

The Greed Heads in the past completely screwed that up.
Their short term gain created a long term problem for the
People of South,Central,and North America.

We are paying for their inequities
this very day.
As much as some would like to paint
The United States as the source of the problem,
like your Author, the fact is, that this behavior has
been in action for Thousands of years of Human History.

Consider the East India Company, or The Dutch India Company.

At any rate, it would not be beneficial for the future of the U.S.
to allow China, Russia, nor any other foreign power to
establish a stronghold in the Western Hemisphere.
The results of this influence in the past has resulted in the loss
of jobs/economy ,corruption, and mass migration.
There is a great supply of oil in South America,
and maybe the U.S. can make a deal that is good for
the Western hemisphere this time around.
But if you think that China or Russia is doing it out of
the goodness of their hearts, you are sadly mistaken.

I think there are countries deserving of IMMEDIATE aid, like Venezuela ...

LMFAO!

This is the last one to be affected by the fake aid!

Are you even aware of what you are talking about?

Venezuela is rich, was one of the richest countries in the world, lots of resources down there, that they tried to keep for their own people. Of course they need 'aid', so as to free the resources, people be damned!

You don't have a clue of what's really going on and this is sad

If the US wanted to help the Venezuela people, they should stop the fake sanctions, then stop stealing their money from foreign banks.

Let's see if after that they still need 'aid', once they are able to do normal business like most other countries. But no, let's kill them with sanctions, meddle and get people insane so we have an excuse to destroy them and then milk them away

Yes, they need 'aid' FFS

It was never about taking care of anyone, US intervention and 'foreign policies' is to ensure the US keeps control of the world, destroy any potential country that could get richer or more powerful, and make sure their resources end up helping the US and not that other country

Day by day i am more and more amazed about how so few people realize this, when it is in their face all the time

There has never been a single case, where a country did the 'aid' game when they were not looking for something on that country

Let's ask why Haiti is a mess and there is no urgent need to get them aid, the Philippinesis is a terrible mess right now as well, even worse than Venezuela if we are honest. No aid from the US there

Yemen, no aid. How many other's? Libya? Iraq? Let's pretend that's not still happening thanks to the 'aid'. And let's not fix it, let's go destroy Venezuela instead, they are truly in DESPERATE need! As opposed to the countries that are out of the picture now, since they have already been freed and received the necessary 'aid'

This is sad, truly sad
