New Mexico Passes Law to Execute Babies at Birth

The New Mexico House approved a radical pro-abortion bill Wednesday that would keep abortions legal through all nine months of pregnancy even if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports state House Bill 51 passed in a 40-29 vote after more than three hours of debate. Six Democrats joined Republicans to oppose the legislation.

Sponsored by state Rep. Joanne Ferrary, the bill would repeal a statute from the 1960s that prohibits abortions except in cases of rape, incest or threats to the mother’s life. The statute is not in effect because of Roe v. Wade, but if the Supreme Court overturns the case, it would go into effect again.

HOUSE BILL 51

More insanity from Demonrats. New Mexico's house, in which both houses are controlled by Demonrats, has passed a bill that essentially repeals sections of a law from 1969 and which will now allow abortions up to the due date, just like in New York. The other section they want repealed is a protection clause for doctors who consciously would not want to partake/be forced to perform abortions. Since the Senate is also controlled by demonrats, it is most likely this bill will pass both houses and will become law.

One of the people who testified against the approval of this new law was Tina Atkins, whose daughter died in a botched up abortion on her 6th month of pregnancy.

The mother testified:

“How can anyone sit here and tell me that HB-51 will grant access to safe abortions when my daughter is dead from an abortion?” Atkins asked a House committee in January. “It is widely published in medical journals that after five months of pregnancy, a woman has an 89 times greater risk of death than earlier abortions.”

These bills, passed by brain dead and souless demonrats, will not save any woman, and in fact will put women in more danger. Not to mention the fact that the unborn at the date they are due are no different whatsoever from newborns.

As some of us saw, these inhuman laws are being passed by people who have devalued the life of the most precious, and innocent humans. Meanwhile these are the same MORONS, who go through hell and high water to protect murderers, and even pedophiles.

This nation is at a precipice. Even if you are not a religious person, Newton's third law states for "every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." This will have consequences. The murder of millions of the unborn up to the due date for any reason, and even newborns will not bring "peace and prosperity to the U.S."

I am disgusted by those that would support this.

I'm not a pro lifer by any means but I dont care what anyone says, aborting a healthy 7-8-9 month old fetus is murder.
A deformed or damaged fetus or an at risk mother is a different story but a healthy one....just no.

Elections have consequences. This sort of thing is only supported by about 13% of people nationwide, but people vote them in anyway. Make a deal with the devil and you get evil even if you never intended it.

Exactly. For crying out loud Democrats CLAIM to hate nazis, yet they are embracing eugenics FOR ANY REASON even for newborns... This is simply pure evil manifested... I am disheartened and sad that this is happening. Truly can't believe this is how far demonrats have come to view the most innocent human life...

Let me see if I got this straight, the same people in favor of killing a child up to and including the moment of birth want to ban guns because someone might get hurt or killed and yet also have no problem letting people enter the country that might want to hurt or kill others.

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and introduce the spiritual aspects into this. This is the devil's world baby, and he's not even fronting anymore. The Bible says that he's pissed because he knows his time is near. When I see news like this (and not a one off, but suddenly trending across America), it just validates that assumption for me.

Also, why "all of the sudden". You now how you'll get people who will aggregate all of the talking points on the various news shows with the politicians all saying the same thing and you just know that they're all reading the same notes...it's like that here. Like they were all lined up at the Evil Olympics just waiting for the gun to sound, and now they're off! This was a non-issue like days ago, now every state is lining up to do it.

It is a preemptive strike because states are worried the Supreme Court is turning conservative enough to overturn Roe v Wade. They want protective legislation in place to save pro-choice thinking if that happens.

Now don't get me wrong, I think late term abortions should only be allowed is cases of grave medical danger.

This would repeal a statute that would not allow any abortions.

The majority of these bills are not being introduced to kill 9 month old babies. Anyone who supports killing 9 month old babies needs to be checked in. It is media outrage to divide and conquer.

I'm not catholic, but Pope John Paul II wrote a big thesis that secular western culture has developed a death cult.

I think there is a lot of truth to that. If this was not a developing baby, but was instead a serial killer, we wouldn't put it to death without an appellate judge weighing in, without various boards of review, a federal judge, and probably the state Supreme Court. But since it ISNT a convicted criminal who is being put to death, it is an unborn baby, the decision is made by a scared and ill teenager; acting on the advice of a doctor who specializes in killing infants and who will be paid to kill her baby. Does that make sense? In no other circumstance would we end a human life without an ethics panel and a variety of specialists weighing in. Unless its an innocent baby. Then we'll do whatever one teenager wants...

People think the Bible is a useless, ancient document from the Bronze Age. It can't have anything to say to us, because THOSE people had sacrificed their babies to Moloch the demon-god of prosperity.... Yep, totally irrelevant to us, "in the real world."

But think about it. A million babies a year, sacrificed to the dark god of feminist self-empowerment. We deny the humanity of the child, in order to affirm the humanity of the mother. We have doctors who do this every day, all day. And the dead bodies are burned in an oven.

And the followers of this death-cult are desperate to keep it up. It the mere prospect of a potential future court denying the innate right of a woman to kill another human being without any legal review, the party of death slips this through the books by any means necessary.

I lived in New Mexico for a while. The only white parts are Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and parts around Taos and Farmington. The State is officially 46% hispanic (maybe if you only count the legal ones) and 14% Native American. There is simply no freaking way this law represents the will of that 60% of the populace. A lot of them are more than nominally Catholic....

Serious question, how many females have posted on this thread, my guess is zero. So why oh why does this affect any of you in the least? How about worry about your own bodies, a fetus is just that a fetus until the moment it breathes air. I am a male as well and this does not affect me, if a women chooses to do this she is the one who has to deal with that decision, this is a stupid discussion that only affect a very small percentage of the actual population. In reality a women would be hard pressed to find a doctor willing to abort a fully healthy 9 month old fetus, even so it is still at that moment a part of her body so to me she is fully within her rights to do what she wishes with her body. Call me what you will, but whatever someone else do to their body has ZERO effect on my daily goings on. All those holier than thou people who shout to the skies murder murder, it affects their lives exactly the same, not at all. If a woman makes that choice it's on her not me you your mom or anyone else....cry me a river
